For all the fuss about attendance the past few games, I thought that everyone did a great job of making that place loud even though it was only 10k. Certainly seemed the loudest I've heard for a non ku game in a while. At least until we started sucking. Not bad for a game 9 at night, and the same time as the national championship.

There's a new sheriff in town.
I disagree. It was the loudest I've heard it in awhile, but why only 10-11K?
I know what all the excuses will be, so lets not re-hash them again.

I do have a legitamet(sp?) question though:
I have been to just a handfull of D-1 basketball arenas, so I don't have much first hand knowledge, but doesn't Bramlege seem way to "friendly"?
I mean we have no destinct home court advantage. The first row of fans is like 10 feet from the floor on the sides, and on the ends, you could hold a small concert in the space underneath the tunnel. And speaking of the tunnel, have you noticed that the visitors are always shooting their free throws in the second half toward it? They CAN'T be bothered by the crowd behind the glass. Is it just me or are the aisles at the Bram like 10 feet wide? Why? Is this the most ADA accessable building in the world, or what?
Why can't the Administration just admit that "ok, we screwed up" and bulldoze the place and move back to the 'ole Barn. Sink a few million in it and lets get back to old school Wildcat basketball. We got the coach for it.
Just my .02

I guess you must have missed the Missouri game last year.

The announcers on ESPN loved you guys.  Said you were "smart" fans who actually knew the game of basketball.

I thought it was rather pathetic myself...but I've come to deal with it considering the side I sit on...I'm not sure even a really juiced crowd could have made the guys make shots though.

It was disheartening seeing an entire section of the student section empty...how did the chairbacks look as far as being full?

Can't complain about the crowd.  Pretty good for 10K and I thought the student's were commendable.  Crowds always seem worse than they were when you lose like that.

I'm sure if we're ahead by 5 or so the entire game, it would be a lot better, too.  Brutal play leads to less than electric crowds.

And they got rid of Karn Evil 9, thank you Bram people.  The replacement was better, though I didn't recognize the "Welcome..." guy.

We do a lot of weird stuff there now though, the Yosemite Sam deal was odd.

Very true...and that's why I'm not more harsh about it...but you'd have a hard time convincing me some of the folks sitting around me last night even knew there was a game going on...it was unreal.

Oh well, time to watch the weather and see if we want to/can go to Columbia.

I should add, I'm not referring to the students....the students were great...

Just get all of them to show up when classes start.

Yeah, they tightened up the intro and replaced the song.  Great move.

The announcers on ESPN also said that the K-State players were highly athletic and well coached, so their credibility goes out the window.  On TV the cameras rarely even showed any of the crowd so you couldn’t tell if the place was packed or not, but the crowd did sound pretty loud.

Actually, from TV I got the sense that it was a pretty good crowd. They used a camera angle during the Wabash that made the student section look pretty full.  You could see some empty seats up in the corners once in a while.   It came off pretty rowdy early on, until our poor play took the wind out of the crowds sails.   Still, you could feel the crowd try and get back in it late a couple of times.

I wasn't looking for empty seats and didn't see any.  The announcers said the place was packed.
