    The very best.
who type of "caliber**" players are in the all-star game Lamark and Co. and playing in?

Isn't it a 2nd tier all-star game?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

only if by 2nd tier you mean kids who are going to places like Texas, Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee, OU, Miami, etc

The Army game allegedly has the cream of the crop but that is just speculation...there will be a number of kids who don't do jack in that game and there will be a lot of kids who are superstars from the game Lamark is playing in.  Most of the kids in Lamark's game are top 250 kids.

    This ZERO is my Hero
I heard Crabby say that he thought Sonier might eventually decommitt because he is probably getting  more attention.  Anyone hear anything on this, also mentioned...I think, it was Kendrick Matthews....but he was just speculating

It's okay if Sonier decommits b/c this staff has so many other awesome DL recruits in place.

fatty, and I'll add that several listed on the rosters who do not have a school next to their name as a commitment have some big time offers.  Like John Brown on the East squad.  Last I checked he was the 3rd ranked DT prospect and was deciding between the likes of Florida State, Florida, etc.  The DT lining up next to him committed to Illinois, Josh Brent, had offers to Michigan, Ohio State, etc.

There are a number of kids on both rosters who could have easily been selected for the Army All-American game.

"Defensive Back

West headliner: This may be the most talented position on the defense and has the best combination of size and speed. With athletic prospects like James Kirkendoll and Curtis Thomas at corner along with arguably the most physically impressive prospect, Lamark Brown at safety, it's hard to see a weakness in the secondary. Phone calls and letters have continued for Sonier in the summer and through the football season.

"I've gotten calls and a lot of letters," he said. "Schools are checking to see if I'd be interested in taking a look at them. None of them have really pushed me hard for a visit, though. I'm going to stick with my commitment to Kansas State. I committed to them because I felt it was the best place for me. I still feel that way."

Sonier is planning on being in attendance at nearby Reliant Stadium when K-State takes on Rutgers.

"I think I'll make it over there for the game. It's not 100 percent, but I think I'll get there. It is close to home, so I think I can get there pretty easily."

Brown, 2 tackles on opening drive, crushed a running back who was coming down the sideline.

Moves like a gazelle.

cause you know, we're loaded at wide receiver.  if we pick up cam baker, i'll agree with you though.

I watched him today, he isn't a wr, he is a hitter.  there is no place on the team forhim other than lb or safety.  He has the frame to add another 15 pounds without losing an once of speed.  He would be one bad mother&@#%a at lb.   I don't know about wr for this guy, 6'3 and 4.55?  that aint that fast, most linebackers could cover that.

depth be dammed at wr.  the  first real and legit playmaker of the prince era besides freeman ofcourse is a linebacker that could play some wr, but lets let him play lb first and let the wr' types play wr.   That kid is all big 12 caliber, first team.  4.55 is very good speed for a lb, especially at his size.  that speed is below average at wr.  why make him below average, why not let him grow into the best player he can grow into at the position he is best suited for?

wait so he is a K-State fan AGAIN??

I would be a fan of trying Lamark out at LB if we do pull in a decent WR. We don't have great LB depth right now either...

Do you have the stats from the game?  I'm curious to see where he ends up.  It would be nice to have two LaMark Browns, one for offense and one for defense.  Just look at him, he was born to play football.  I'll be honest, hearing you rave about him has got me excited.

He will be a warrior at receiver.

The greatest talent belongs at the skill positions.

That is how football games are won.

One receiver can do a heck of a lot more than one safety or linebacker.

I have never seen a S or LB win a game.

I've seen a Safety lose a game.  See Jarrod Cooper vs. OU in 2000 (twice).

I agree with ILNPIGAH.  He's much more of a defensive prospect.  It would be kind of sad if he ends up at receiver because he wouldn't be nearly as good there.

Urban Meyer on Sportscenter last night:

"It's an injustice to not have your best players touch the ball as much as possible."

I agree 100%.

Lamark will be one of the few tuly elite athetes on our team next year and to play him at a position that would not put the ball in his hands with regularity would be ridiculous.

A defense succeeds as a unit.

Singular great players on offense, can singlehnadedly win games.
