I keep hearing all of the "experts" say how Rutgers is going to roll K-State. I just don't see it:

Offense

Mike Teel is mistake prone. Ray Rice is a good back but is he Jamaal Charles or Selvin Young? Sure they averaged 4 yards/carry against us but we made them irrelevant by getting a big lead. They do have a good OL so stopping Ray Rice is a must.

Defense

Losing Quintin Echols is big but I like our defense better in the LB unit and we still have Ian Campbell. I think the secondaries are a toss up.

Special Teams

I give the Cats the advantage in returns, I think it's a push in place kicking but Rutgers has the better punter so field position could be a big factor.

We're getting healthy at the perfect time. Yamon Figurs, Jordy Nelson, Marcus Watts and the TE's will all contribute tonight and Rutgers has lost 5 receivers this season. I think this sets up perfectly to be a big night for the Cats.

Yes.

Any team that has wanted to run on us has been able to.  Louisville (228), NU (190), MU (171),  ku (247), and even in wins, OSU (193) and CU (225).   We held Texas to just 143 but at halftime they had over 100 yds gained, but within 3 minutes during the 3rd quarter they were down by 21 and had to go away from the run.

Rutgers is #7 in the nation in total defense....KSU is #63.

We're going to have to play another Texas-esque game and get some key turnovers.

I don't see it.

Wanna know what I don't see?

I don't see how everyone keeps thinking KSU's recruiting class is good.  Look at the players on it.  They are all swill.  The only good player you have is Lamark Brown.  Everyone else is a "diamond in the rough" I guess.

Their defensive line is excellent, they're 7th in the country in total defense (which is better than any Big XII team).  ku's defense sucks, look what they were able to do to Freeman.  Rutgers offensive line is very good and their running back averages 135 ypg.  Imagine how he'll do against a defensive unit that made Jon Cornish and ku look like an offensive machine.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.
