Largest crowd in ku football History:

2006 KSU vs ku 51,821

KSU occupies 10 of the 23 Largest Crowds (if you add the game this year) listed in ku's Media Guide.  MU Occupies 2 spots of which 1 is not a sellout (MU used to be listed 3 times, but since KSU took over the #1 largest crowd spot and moved all the other record crowds down a notch, one of the MU games listed would be removed from the list).

Top 5 ku Basketball Home Crowds:

All were against KSU, and all exceeded listed building capacity.

The ku vs MU rivalry is one of the mind, not of the body or the spirit.

Just and FYI.

Mizzou can't be ku's rival.  They're Illinois' rival.

I guess GayU has a toss up between us, Bucknell and Bradley!
It's a tremendous challenge here. I think it has the opportunity for the greatest turnaround in college football. It is not one to be taken lightly. ---------- Bill Snyder ( Nov 30th, 1988)

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I've figured out this whole rival / non-rival thing.  Think about it, for the past 15 years minus a couple of losses in the past 5 we've absolutely owned the hawks.  Why or better yet, how could they call us a rival when we beat the sh*t out of them year after year.  They "chose" Mizzou as a rival because they actually had a chance to beat the tigers knowing they couldn't beat us.

They won't call it a rivalry now because they know that total Cat domination is just around the corner again and that my friends is why its not a rivalry.

    shame on you, non-believers
The Sunflower Rivalry took a big hit in the 90's thanks to the Big 2 sports being such lopsided matchups most of the time.

It's intensifying now, though, and rapidly. It won't be long before ku fans give up on the "you aren't our rival" schtick.

They will say that even more when we begin to win some hoops matchups with them and still take them in football. It will become one of the self assurance things they say to themselves "It's not like their our rival, just an instate, in conference team."

That's possible as well.
