I took Hierl for chem 188. I had Borovik for 184. Hierl's final is pud. Borovik's not so much. It's just regurgitated old questions from previoius tests with some number changes.

I had Hierl for Physical Chemistry. Nothing too bad there. It should be just like his other tests.

Oh. That seems like weird nomenclature. All the other places I've heard Chem 1 is 101/102 or 1001/1002...

Hierl's finals are exactly like his previous four tests. I took his Chem184 in Fall 2004. If you did well on the first four, you should be fine with similar studying.

I had Chem 150 in 1987. Easiest 5-hour A in 4 years. If my experience is a guide, it will be a piece of cake.

Damn, I hadn't heard those names in a while. I had Hierl for either chem 2 (or was it 1, can't remember exactly) in spring 2000, IIRC his tests were really easy.

Here's a tip. On the three versions of his tests, the answers are all the same choices, but the questions are different in a small but substantial way. If you can't answer a question, it may be possible to cross out answers if you 'notice' what question he is asking other people.
I never did this, but I heard it from a friend...

not necessarily. when i started as a mechanical, they wanted me to take the 5 hour Chem class that was an overview of Chem 184 and Chem 188. i told them to plss off b/c i liked chemistry so much, and ended up taking it, then doing chemical engineering.
it's also the class for any biology/chemistry/physics majors.
