I was watching Beyond The Glory today at lunch and it was the Walter Payton edition.  I never knew that he was on his way to the university of kansas to become a jayhawk and stopped at Jackson State to see his brother, told him that he didn't really want to go to kansas and... the rest is history!

Yeah, I'd always heard that he was coming to Manhattan.

Serious question... in the past have we ever been referred to as Kansas?  They didn't say he was coming to the state to play they made it out like it was the school.  Bastards don't ruin this for me!

Now you're just compounding our long ago failure with your own personal failure.

When the Copper Bowl tickets first came out in 1993, they said Wyoming Cowboys vs Kansas Jayhawks.  Our university sent them back and made them reprint them.

Kansas....Kansas Lite....who gives a @#%$. They both suck, and for anyone who follows a relevant football team, it's easy to confuse the ones that just don't matter  In fact, the only things that distinguish them now are that NU keeps punking KSU, KSU insists on wearing homosexual purple uniforms and playing with their pants around their ankles, and KSU fans delude themselves into thinking their team is actually relevant.

The one thing they have in common is that neither of them is going to a bowl this year. (The Texas Bowl doesn't count)

 :flush: KSU!!!

Yeah, we don't matter at all.  That's why you keep stinking up our board with your presence.

Somewhat interesting fact:  some of the composite photos of the graduating classes at ku law from early in the 20th century are labeled as the "K.S.U. Law School Graduating Class."  Of course, KSU wasn't KSU at that point, but I wonder if there was some reference to ku as KSU at that point in time, or whether it was just a slip-up by the composite-makers for several years.

He fell asleep in a meeting and Snyder sent him home during his official visit.

That's the story I heard, anyway.

Thanks for the LT rumors you bastards, I'm going to go throw up now.   :banghead:  Snyder and his "rules".

"Rules, rules, you want to know what you can do with your f'ing rules coach?!"  Name that movie without using the internet.

Also in on VY and Brodie Croyle.  Those are the qb's we targeted that were to have led us through the last 2 years.  And the quitter that went to tennessee, whatever his name was.

Wow...what a boneheaded move....in addition to being one of the all-time greats, LT is a classy guy. It'd be nice to be able to point to him as an alum.

If VY never stepped on campus, how could we have been 'in' on him?

In the loosest sense of the word.  We were on his "list".  Doesn't mean he had any intention of going here, but it at least looked like he possibly did.
