Corey Adams - meh.  who cares
Alesana Alesana - his work ethic will get him fighting for a starting spot, but won't necessarily stand out
Clyde Aufner - baller, will be very good, potential big 12 aa by his junior year
Demetrius Bell - returns punts once in a while, will disappear after his first few years
Lamark Brown - what the &*$@! do you think.  he's the favorite to win the superbowl
Gary Chandler - will pick up right where williams left off and then some
Josh Cherry - kickers...yawn
Jayson Cuba - matt butler
Kaleb Drinkgern - derek meyer?
Colten Freeze - benchwarmer
Tysyn Hartman - judging by the number of wide receivers we are in on, he'll be a qb.  will be like brad smith but worse
Payton Kirk - blake seiler is his ceiling
Jeremy Mack - will be a decent tight end, he'll be another mastrud/pooschke.  nothing special

Kendrick Matthews - imo the sleeper of this class.  very physical.  could become a solid safety.  at corner though, byron garvin
JJ Mullins - juco placement that we will never see again (hopefully)
Deon Murphy - will be the next moreira, decent receiver, dangerous returner
Ernie Pierce - i can't stop thinking of martinez, but then again, he could turn out to be terry.  red
Dante Pinchback - bust, probably will quit the team
Jeremy Reed - stud at whatever position he plays, probably a scobey-type of runner
Jake Roepke - admitted growling, but juco is the likely destination.  we pick him up after 2 years and he rides the bench
Kevin Rohleder - brandon archer
Elridge Sims - bust
Tyrone Sonier - will be one of the better de by his junior year
Adonis Thomas - jamal schulters
Curtis Thomas - won't be a bust, but i have a feeling he'll be mediocre like hollis
Dahrnez Tigner - won't make any noise his first two years, will blossom his redshirt sophmore year at wr like jordy
Brandon Walls - bust, with pinchback going down, walls will tank with him
AJ Whitmore - will make an impact at slot or returning kicks.  small, but is a playmaker
Justin Woods - next leon patton.  he is f-in fast.

random notes

it appears there's as much green as snyder's classes.  this might be underestimating prince a bit, since it appears more than 2/3's of his 06 class will be green and black.

our texas recruits pan out at about a 25% rate.

like 5 guys from 2004 (one of our best years on paper) have made an impact.

i can't believe how many of our recruits ended up sucking under snyder*.  what a sack.

*it was probably elliot's fault.

You say kickers...yawn, but we all see how much you miss them when they aren't there.  After having two great kickers in a row in Gramatica/Jamie Rheem we went to the Jared Brite (recruited as a punter) /Joe Rheem years.  Saw more PAT's and FG's bounce off the uprights for a couple years than we had TD's.  Joe was decent by his senior year (not as good as Jamie, tho), but Brite was never good.  If Cherry can be a solid performer and not have to pray for every kick I'll be very happy.  If he's good, he may be one of the top 5 impact players in this class.

I think Adonis, JJ Mullins, Roepke, and Pinchback will never make it to KSU.

one commit I don't like at his listed position but do like at another position is Kirk.  I think he eventually moves over to OL and maybe plays center.  TE and DE prospects make their way over to OL all of the time.  I can see him being one of those 6-4 290lb 2-3 year starters at center.

I'm not feelin Martinez: The Sequel for Pierce.

not sure what to make of this class as a whole but Prince did awfully good in his first one w/ limited time...that is a good sign.

Completely agree on Cuba = Matt Butler.  I'd say Rohleder will be a faster version of Marcus Perry.  Tyson Hartman = Antoine Polite.

still looks like too much green imo.

Agree with nearly everything:

Gut would only change Greens to reds for Tigner and Sonier. Their names just don't sound like I'll ever hear them again.  :blindfold:

I was thinking the same about Kirk as Hatter. I didn't project position,  but was definately thinking OL.

Corey Adams - No idea how much speed the kid has, but I can't see us giving a schol for solely LS duties. Could provide good depth at DE.
Alesana Alesana - No idea what his work ethic is. Will contribute.
Clyde Aufner - baller, will be very good, potential big 12 aa by his junior year - I like the sound of that.
Demetrius Bell - Don't know if he can put on the weight. If he doesn't get on the field by year 3, he probably won't. (Strozier)
Lamark Brown - Probably does alright, but not the world beater everyone is making him out to be.
Gary Chandler - Should be a big hitter... will take some early lumps. Starter by the end of next season.
Josh Cherry - RS will be our kicked his Soph year.
Jayson Cuba - good Mike LB
Kaleb Drinkgern - logan robinson
Colten Freeze - no idea... confused about the Liberty offers. (Grey shirt?)
Tysyn Hartman - I'm gonna guess he will be a good FS by the time it's all said and done.
Payton Kirk - Moved to the OL. (Grey shirt?)
Jeremy Mack - will be a decent tight end. I like mastrud.
Kendrick Matthews - sleeper of this class??  TNew would be even awesomer!! But, I doubt it.
JJ Mullins - (juco placement?)
Deon Murphy - will be the next moreira, decent receiver, dangerous returner
Ernie Pierce - i can't stop thinking of Andre Johnson
Dante Pinchback - Probably won't make it to Manhattan and I'm not sure that's a bad thing.
Jeremy Reed - Carlos Alsup
Jake Roepke - JUCO placement is the rumor.
Kevin Rohleder - Mark Simoneau
Elridge Sims - Depth
Tyrone Sonier - will be one of the better de by his junior year
Adonis Thomas - JUCO??
Curtis Thomas - Starting year 3.
Dahrnez Tigner - Won't make the impact Josh moore did, but will contribute at Safety.
Brandon Walls - Maurice Mack
AJ Whitmore - Never makes it to campus.
Justin Woods - Next Josh Moore

yeah, it's kind of like filling out a ncaa tourney bracket when you don't follow ncaa basketball and you have no idea what teams are in the tourney.

Funny thread but the juco olineman reviews are 'terrible'.

These guy are different than what we recruited in the past.

Look at the teams that wanted them.  One was FSU. 8)

I'm gonna vouch for Dee Bell here...not because I went to his high school...well ok cause I went to high school with him but still you guys dont get it. This guy farking BOOKS. If he puts on a few I could definetly see him returning kicks by his sophomore year. Remember figurs wasn't the biggest guy and kicked ass at returning....he was like Dante Hall '03 y0!
