Currently we have 29 commits

We have 22 seniors leaving (about 19 would've been on scholarhsip)

Last year we had 30 commits of which I believe 5-7 either didn't make it or counted towards last year.

I know that some of the 29 commits either won't make it or might get a greyshirt or will count towards last year, but does anyone know approximately how many scholarships we have available/left to hand out?  Are we going to have some more attrition?

I've heard 4-6 are probable jc placements. There's room for 4 to count back. There's a decommit that is still on the list. If we get a bunch more commits that stick and qualify, you'll probably see 2-3 guys asked to grayshirt and they have been told about that possibility.

Wouldn't be surprised if 2-4 on the team now aren't back (not counting seniors).

Are you just guessing that there will be at least one?

Looks that way but with 3 'ships available from last year and the 25/year limit anything over 28 can't be other than a placement, greyshirt, or walk-on.

Brull, here's a followup on what that dude told me . . .

looks like we DID have a 4-star WR visit this past weekend, but he didn't like us. http://kentucky.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=618376

hopefully, the guy was right and Larry Asante ends up in purple.

Thanks Poopley, I thought you were saying we had a de-commit that was currently commited to KSU.

Yeah, Brull, he did say that, but he wouldn't give a name. He said the coaches were working hard to get him back. The Virginia fans said to expect a couple decommits -- just the nature of getting so many recruits early in the process.

Anyway, about the other info, it's impressive that this staff got a visit from Terence Scott, he is bigtime. Too bad he didn't like us -- but we might see some other surprise visitors yet. After all, Prince is scary smart.  :dancin:

Is Jerome Jackson still going to enroll at semester as our greyshirt from the previous year?
