Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

The truth is out there ....   :D

But seriously, shoveling a 7+ win team off to an at-large slot before the conference's bowls make their selections for the contracted slots would seem to be a loophole in the NCAA rule that requires 7+ win teams to be selected first.  The Big XII would certainly have wanted to get all 9 bowl eligible teams into bowls so I can see them trying something like this.  I give it no worse than a 50/50 shot at being true, probably significantly better.

If this is true, then I hope Weiser told Weiberg to cram it up his cramhole.  Why is it that the Big XII wants us to roll over on every single d@mn thing?

I suppose we can now kiss any chance of ever getting to open conference play at home goodbye.

    The very best.
Insanely awesome.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

K-State should have been a team player here, but they didn't want their in-state rival to go bowling. This is straight out of the ku athletic department, and believe me, they're not very happy about it.

They're mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore!!

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
If Self could help Kstate get into the Ncaa tourney, he'd do it.

/sadface
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

yea, not likely.  Self is gonna take a chance that KSU could go farther in the NCAA tourney than ku? No way.  He doesn't want to live through that.  Say ku lost in the first round again, and KSU managed to make the 2nd round or further...that would be a nightmare for Self and ku

Has K-Lite EVER made it farther in the tournament than Kansas? You guys are about as known for quality basketball as Nebraska is.

Don't sell us short.  It's four Final Fours.

For you being a wannabe lawyer, you should know your facts instead of pretending (I guess in reality it's actually the reverse).  K-State has been to 4 Final Fours, 11 Elite Eights, 16 Sweet Sixteens and has made 22 Tournament appearances.  And, yes, K-State has made it farther in the same tournament as ku as a result.

Oh, and also, Street and Smith this year ranked K-State #22 this year out of the top 100 programs of all time.

I'd copy a link from k-statesports.com detailing this history for you, but you might threaten me with copyright infringement in some strange, twisted way.  ;)
