The Scarlet Knights are 10-2 with their losses coming at Cincinnati (in a game they trailed in early and often) and in triple OT to West Virginia yesterday.

QB Mike Teel is completing 55% of his passes for 1,867 yards (156 yards/game) and 10 TD's. He has also thrown 13 INT's. He threw 3 INT's vs. Ohio and 4 INT's at Cincinnati. His biggest passing day was yesterday at West Virginia when he threw for 278 yards.

RB Ray Rice has rushed for 1,624 yards (5.2 yards/carry). His best game came at Pittsburgh when he carried for 225 yards (5.8 yards/carry). He rushed for at least 100 yards 9 times and rushed for 200+ yards 3 times. They've got another good back in FB Brian Leonard who has rushed for 379 yards (4.6 yards/carry). His best game came against Syracuse when he rushed for 106 yards (5.6 yards/carry). He also caught 36 passes for 288 yards (8.0 yards/catch). He had 3 games (Ohio, Connecticut and Louisville) where he averaged double digit yards/catch.

Leonard and WR Kenny Britt average 8.0 and 14.8 yards/catch respectively. Britt had 4 games where he averaged double digit yards/catch including 41 yards/catch (even though it was only 2 catches) vs. Louisville. Britt caught 2 TD passes vs. Syracuse. TE Clark Harris, WR Tiquan Underwood, WR Dennis Campbell, WR James Townsend, WR Tim Brown, WR Shawn Tucker, RB Kordell Young and TE Sam Johnson all average double digit yards/catch.

The offensive line is lead by tackles Pedro Sosa and Jeremy Zuttah. The rest of the offensive line is veteran with G Mike Fladell, C Darnell Stapleton and G Cameron Stephenson.

Defensively, the Knights are lead by DT Ramel Meekins on the defensive line. The LB corps is experienced with Chenry Lewis and Quintero Frierson. Devraun Thompson is a tackling machine. Three of the four secondary positions are solid with S Ron Girault and S Courtney Greene. Derrick Roberson is the only returning CB. It's a defense that can give up alot of points. The Knights gave up 25 and 39 points to Louisville and West Virginia respectively.

Once again it's not very often I talk about kickers but they've got a great one in Jeremy "The Judge" Ito. He was 19-24 (79%) in FG kicking with a long of 53 at South Florida. He also had a 51 yarder against Connecticut. He kicked a 28 yarder to beat Louisville.

WR Willie Foster averaged 24.5 yards/return while returning kickoffs in 2005.

I saw parts of a couple of Rutgers games this year. Good running game, inconsistent passing game and defense. They seem like one of those Boise State type teams that has a good record just by virtue of never playing anyone. After seeing them and you guys, I think you'll handle them pretty easily.

They beat a Louisville team that we couldn't beat and pushed another ranked team to triple overtime on the road. They didn't play a bunch of nobodies. Maybe Greg Schiano will leave for Miami before the game.

Or not but I think there's no way they can deny they're disappointed that they're in the Texas Bowl.

    This ZERO is my Hero
We all know what its like to be in the national title hunt and BCS hunt, come up short and then fall off the face of the earth as to what bowl you end up in.  I just can't see them being dissappointed to be in the Texas bowl, playing K-State, I can imagine not many of them even know where kansas is.
I live in Pittsburgh, and you'd be surprised at how little people know about and where Kansas is.

I travel to NJ pretty often for work, and they especially don't know the difference between ku and K-State.  Even if I tell them repeatedly, they still refer to me as a "Kansas fan".  "Nice win against Texas" is followed up by "Nice win against Florida."   :banghead:
