What are your thoughts?

I would say the most underrated is Leon Patton. He doesnt get the attention and recognition he deserves for what he did this year and his obvious abilities. I think he's been overshadowed quite a bit by our other marquee player on O.

Overrated...dont like to say this about anyone on the team, bc there isnt anyone on this years team that I have a strong dislike for. If I did have to choose someone, i would go with Archer. Before I get lynched, hear me out. He is the leader of the D, he had a ton of tackles, but at the same time, he doesnt have the quickness or speed as the other great KSU LB's. He missed quite a few tackles this year due to not being quick enough. Fortunate for us, he makes up for it with his great smarts and great heart. He is one of my fav players, but he doesnt stack up to the likes of simoneau, kelly, etc etc etc.....

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I realize he was hurt, but Jordy Nelson was probably our most overrated player this year.

I'd vote Byron Garvin as the most underrated.

    The very best.
Figurs is underrated.

Diles is overrated
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Figurs is underrated.

Everyone seems to hate him for some reason.  I think last year's aTm game (even though he had a TD catch) soured people.

He doesn't smile enough. He has the "huggins" demeanor.

If you knew all of the kinds of injuries and pain that Archer played through this year..you'd feel ashamed calling him overrated.

I definitely agree with K. Williams being the most underrated. We are gonna really miss him next year.

i'd throw josh moore's name in the ring for biggest surprise.  i really didn't expect a true freshman corner to play that well.  i kind of suspected that patton had the game, but thought moore might have to wait till year 3 to be a real contributor.

Tim Reyer was our most underrated player.
McKinney was overrated, all he had was one kick return for TD.
Off Topic, but what will we do about kick returners next year? We recruited a bunch of small quick guys, most of which can handle the ball, anybody think a true freshman might take some kicks alongside Patton, Johnson, Nelson, etc..?

Echols was underrated, he was double teamed all the time.  Moran getting hurt made it worse.

I can't think of anyone that was really over rated.

Evridge if he was still here.

they could put johnson back on KO's.

I still can't believe how well Wafford eventually settled in at LT. That guy has NO BUSINESS playing LT, but he finds a way to do pretty well and not completely screw up most of the time. The OL would've been so freakin' bad without him.

Reggie Walker = over-rated

worst pic eeeevvaaaaarrrr

Did you watch any of the games? I watched him run down RBs and WRs from the back side of the play.  Maybe his back was just hurting too much in the Texas game from carrying the team ALL year for you to notice.

I meant Archer was overrated in terms of all time LB's at KSU. He was top 3 best players on our D this year.
McKinney is overrated, but i really never thought anyone thought he was that good.
Walker was a disappointment this year as well.

Johnson had the TD return against ku. I had him with Patton, but isn't it risky to put your 1-2 rb's back to return kicks, specially when we rotate them? I was just wondering if Bell or Woods would take some returns next year to give our rb's a break.

If it ain't broken don't fix it.  Johnson and Patton have both run back returns for TDs, and in the Big XII no less.

Hard to compare anyone on this D from the great Defenses from the past.

I don't think anyone on this D would crack the starting line up from 96-02.  Except Watts starting over tetuan, but there are a lot of people better than tetuan was.

underrated- Rob Jackson, Kyle Williams, Echols, Garvin
overrated- McKinney, Erker, Clayton

Rob Jackson is a stud.  Ian Campbell has the motor that never stops but we are able to run a lot of DLine stunts like DT-DE twists with Campbell because Rob Jackson is solid on the other side.  I don't think people realize how much we take advantage of that.  Barring injury or a major F-up, I expect Rob Jackson to emerge as a great player for us next year after a year of weights at a D1 level.

bingo, and there it is....Reign nails it.

Rob Jackson is easily the most underrated KSU defensive player.  Jackson was a handful this year but after a year in the S&C program should be as near to a dominant player on the DL that we've had since Darren Howard.

I can't wait to see Josh Moore after a year on the weights...he's be 5-11 190 range.  That added stength will add an element to his game next year.  Baldwin and J. Moore are the starters at corner next year.

i disagree with erker...cause we all know he sucks ass anyways.  but yes, rob jackson is a very tearrious(sp) george/kevin huntley type of juco player, except opposite*

*because he is actually good.

Overrated:  Derek Meyer, Clayton, Reggie Walker

Underrated: Rob Jackson, K. Williams

Player I think will be overhyped in the spring and underperform next year:  Roland
