    The very best.
Nothing has changed. It's still KSU vs TTU (assuming the gator bowl goes big XII)

This is more fun than following grcoat updates.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

The Alamo Bowl even has a fan poll on its website to gauge the interest in the Big 12's contending schools. Kansas State has earned 73 percent of the votes, while Texas Tech has 24 percent and Missouri has a meager 3 percent

And Daniels adds more fuel to the fire for Moral Victory U and Woolgino:

Quote
"As long as we go to a bowl, I could care less," quarterback Chase Daniel said. "We deserve to be in the upper half of the Big 12. We got in a lull there for three weeks, but the way we've been playing and the way we've been preparing, the way we played against a good Kansas team that took Nebraska to overtime, I think we deserve it."

Will the gator take a big east team?? They have 3 good teams this season, UL, WVa, Rutgers...I can't see two of the three dropping that far...also, why do all the media outlets have Louieville as big east champ?? If RU wins against West Virginia, they will hold the tie breaker.

The Rutgers-West Virginia game is key here.  If West Virginia wins, Louisville goes to the BCS and the Gator has to choose from 10-2 teams in WV and Rutgers or 9-3 Texas and it sounds as if the Gator would pick from the Big East.  If Rutgers wins, then they go to the BCS and the Gator has the choice of 11-1 Lousiville (who played there last year) and WV and UT.  Under that scenario it sounds like the Gator would take Texas.

Then there is the slight chance Notre Dames is out of the BCS, which the Gator would take for sure.  Any chance of K-State to the Alamo Bowl hinges on the Gator picking a Big 12 team, most likely Texas.  If UT had won last week it was almost assured the Gator would have taken Oklahoma.

What about the Sun Bowl taking Texas?  They've been there before.  1996 vs UNC, IIRC. Priest Holmes goes wild!

The other factor is if OU loses, the Gator will probably pick OU.  It sounds like the clear top choices for the Gator would be OU or Notre Dame, after that its much more open between the Big East teams and UT.

I think our best chance is the Alamo. I'd love to go down there.

best chance for what?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

The Insight Bowl is the farthest KSU will fall.  That's a guarantee.

However, the whispers in AZ are that the Alamo bowl is seriously considering KSU over Tech for the rematch of KSU v. Iowa circa 2000 in the BCA classic.

Would the Alamo taking KSU be Bold and Daring?

It's not as bold and daring as naming a bowl game the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Thats bold and daring. :dive:

The Alamo Bowl featured Texas Tech and Iowa in 1996 and 2001. I'll bet they're looking for a new matchup now.  :hope:

According to the Alamo Bowl people.....

1. KSU and TTU are more appealing then Mizzou even though Mizzou beat both KSU and TTU (Advantage KSU)
2. They've gotten "positive feedback" from KSU fans about their hunger to travel to a bowl game again (Good job guys)
3. Iowa is only 6-6 which has them concerned that they may not travel well.....They know we will travel well (Adv: Cats)
4. They're going to rely on ticket sales since they don't have a title sponser anymore (Adv: Cats)
