Another season of doing just enough to keep your salary...but not enough to say that 2006 was a season to remember. ku had an easy schedule...remember?

No Big XII North Title
No Big XII Title

and at 6-6....ku is grasping for an at-large bid for a bowl to the Poinsetta or Motor City. Even less prestigious than the Ft. Worth bowl..and I didn't think that was possible.

Meanwhile...Kstate with it's first year coach, star studded freshmen QB, and promising defensive staff has won seven games and already has a bowl locked up.

Seriously.

I'm so glad they kept that guy.  He may get a Wooldridge-esque win against the Cats this year, but boy, does he remind me of ol' Jimmy...and that's good news for anybody who's not Kansas.

Kerry Meier without Cornish next year is an interesting thought.

If Reesing isn't their starter...Mangino for Coach of the Year.

Doesn't stop the stinging from the squak loss though.  Makes me feel a little better that they had their asses handed to them but I still can't believe that we loss to birds.

Makes me feel a lot better that we're #2 in the North and they're #4.  Good for them for finishing ahead of those mighty Colorado and Iowa State teams.

other than kerry meier, ku played absolutely perfect against us.  we played probably our worst game of the season(yes, including Baylor).  FLukE victory for ku.

If Okie Light loses as expected they and ku would be in a dogfight for the final Big XII bowl though no sane bowl would take the squawks over the pokes so I suppose this is correct.

Crazy that such a "fatf_ck" had no problems slapping down your supposedly superior team. That's why they're Kansas and you're K-Lite.

I love how in the last week or two youve had to explain yourself several times on what K-Lite means. You ever think that if you have to explain what it means its not that clever....plus i dont think ive ever heard anyone else us that term before??? :loly:

Bookcat, go run a friggin marathon. That's embarrassing smack.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

No. Let them eat their own. Though, bumping jayhox threads is excellent.

Nothing worse then a Cornhole State fan chiming in on a KSU-ku thread.

Time for a rundown....

NU > ku > KSU

Yet the intellectually challenged Wildcat fans start threads wanting ku to keep Mangino around. Even though ku b*tch-slapped you up and down the field. That makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Try actually winning something, and then run some smack. Patting yourselves on the back because you're going to the Insight.com Bowl is just a little too pathetic, even for you. Of course, when you live in Manhattan, where the only claim to fame is having the county's only Taco John's, an excuse for a roadtrip anywhere must be exciting.

This is the first year you've won anything in the last 7 years.

Get over yourself.

Considering that K-Lite has NEVER won ANYTHING, NU having a few down years while rebuilding is not a big deal.

How many National Championships do you have?
How many Heisman trophy winners?

The answer to both questions: Zero

You lose to Baylor, to Kansas, to Louisville, to Missouri, and to Nebraska, you're fighting for a berth to the Insight.com Bowl, and you still think you're a better team than Nebraska. That's hilarious.

In the meantime, we're off to KC to play Oklahoma, and will either win the Big 12 Championship and play in the Fiesta Bowl, or end up in the Cotton Bowl.

So have fun in your "bowl game" that will probably only be available via webcast. That should help with recruiting.

There's a new sheriff in town.
For being a t-shirt Nub fan, Creighton sure spends alot of time on a KSU board. Must be more fun chatting with Cat fans than Cornhole fans.

BTW, recruits nowadays care NOTHING about how many National Championships or Conference Championships or Heisman winners, etc that a program has.

Creighton logic: hum, I just realized I have quite a few red shirts in my closet...I think I'll become a Nebraska fan.
