Snodgrass has connected on five kicks of 50 yards or more in his career, which ties him with Grammatica for most in school history.

Lets get him one from 51 tomorrow!!!!!  :beerchug:

Has a K-State kicker connected on a more clutch field goal than the one Saturday night?

Seriously, I'm asking.

None that I can think of.  Don't think we've won a game on a last second kick since before the Snyder era.  We've had relatively few games won by 3 pts or less.

Hmm, I can't think of one either. When we had Automatica, we rarely needed a clutch FG to win, if ever.

The only one that I can think of that would have been in the conversation was the blocked FG against Texas the last time we played them at home.  But I honestly can't remember any game winning/tieing kicks in the last 15 or 20 years.

I remember when Jared Brite's first kick of his career, a 42-ish yard boot at USC in '01, went right down the pipe with plenty of distance, I thought he'd be a good one.

Whoops.

    ku Swallows
Tate "Wide" Wright.

He nailed a clutch field goal at the end of regulation to give us a TIE vs Colorado.  I had much more faith in Snodgrass making the 51 yarder than I did with Wright hitting the shorter field goal.

1994--mu W (?)
1995--Cin W (last second TD pass)
1996--aTm W (?)
1997--Ohio W (Ohio scored late to make it 23-20 and held on for win)
1998--those two games (L,L)
1999--none
2000--nu W (Late TD pass and held on for win), ou (CCG) L

93 ku I'm pretty sure we had our 10 points by half-time, and hung on at the end.  94 mu came down to a defensive stand, with Chris Canty making a game saving play in the endzone.  96 aTm was another game where we jumped out and had a defensive stand to win it.  In fact, it was a Chris Canty strip of an Aggie receiver inside fg range that sealed it (db's make plays!)

Not too many opportunities for kickers to be the hero on that list.
