To tell the truth, there doesn't seem to be any "general consensus." The football team and "loyal" football fans seem to be very confident--perhaps even overconfident--in ku's chances in this game. This may help KSU out if the boys come out and punch ku in the mouth.
A lot of the casual fans seem to think KSU's gonna win. This could help our attendance numbers buying from scalpers.
I've been wearing my KSU stuff around town all week and haven't gotten any reaction. There definitely don't seem to be enough ku fans confident in their chances to talk smack.
I have no idea how many KSU fans to expect there. I would guess that most of the tickets bought this week were by KSU fans. I'd also guess that KSU fans hadn't bought as many prior to that as in past years, due to the 2004 results. I would guess that there will be a good amount of the casual ku fans who don't show up this week. If KSU could somehow manage to build a 3 TD lead by half, I would guess that the second half would be played in front of a neutral crowd of 15,000 on each side.
