In a game somewhere around that year the ku running back entered the game late because he couldn't find his shoes.

Don't recall that one.  This was the year the great june henley/lt levine combined for negative yds rushing.  Had to rely on the 3rd stringer vs our 3rd string d to eke out 40 yds to put them into positive yardage.

We had Hickson and Lawrence on that team.  Easily performed better than the squawk tandem.

Talked about Gramatica attempting a career long 57-yd FG---previous was 40.

Heaps of praise on co-D-coordinators bob stoops and Jim Leavitt.  Dan McCarney is doing a good job of building up the ISU program in his first year.  Larry Smith (mu) was winning at half over ou but had been disappointing.
