Freeman's audibles

After rewatching the first half of the UT game, and recalling what I noticed during the CU game, it seems like whenever Freeman pulls back from center and calls out an audible, a positive play follows the majority of the time. Is that just me, or has anyone else noticed that?

That would indicate he's already got an excellent grasp of the system.

I don't think he was calling an audible, just reading the blitzes, and stuff.  Don't know how to explain it.

Those weren't audibles, he was talking smack on the UT Secondary.

Yeah I know what you're talking about, and I realize, but I didn't know the word for it either...slight change in blocking scheme, perhaps? Whatever he says, it's working.

It's also nice to have a qb that can read a defense rather than having to rely on matt miller doing it and signaling in how to adjust to it.

I heard that Freeman called a different play in the huddle before his QB sneak for a TD.  The play was originally a pass but he couldnt grip the ball with his throwing hand so he called the sneak instead.  Thats a smart kid.  Meier would have tried to throw it and threw a pick 6

They were talking about it on 810 this morning on Crunch Time, Lynn Dickey was talking about it.
