Ol' Rosie ain't so bad afterall...

Having joined in the fun of firing off an email to Jim Rose rubbing his nose in it that he had every right to be bitter about losing National Player of the Week, Josh Freeman, the jerkoff was actually pretty cool in the way he handled our email exchange.

Trust me, it wasn't nice.  Pot-shots were taken by both sides, but with both of us being veterans at handling all that our toothless, redneck, tractor-driving rivals (both sides have 'em, ya know) could dish out, it became clear that Rosie ain't so bad afterall.  Basically, just another "homer" for his favorite team, but he happens to be "lead homer" for NU.   No different than Falkenstein really, only slightly younger.

Although, I'm not sure that he'd put it in writing anywhere, or go on taped record saying it, I think the guy actually has a pretty fair level of respect for K-State or he couldn't possibly hate us so much...

I know this post isn't very classless, but sometimes that's how things work out.

He is certainly an NU homer and I hate listening to him on the radio (fyi, KDUS AM 1060 broadcasts all the Husker games in Phoenix) but there are times when he does seem to spread the love.

Of course, his best broadcast was in 2003.. when Ell Roberson shredded them in the second half.

Of course he's nice to you.

He doesn't want to be walking across the parking lot one night after work and find a K-State fan sitting on his car who wants to shove a Louisville Slugger up his ass.

No matter what team he is for, he is a bad broadcaster period.  The repeated use of "we" when referring to the team and comments like "in the big XII championship game, right where we belong" are horrible form for broadcasters, even voices for an organization.  Its no wonder a lot of corn can't even stand the guy.

Yea post the emails

Listening to 810 saturday after the KSU bball game, they switched over to the NU game.  Rose was all over Taylors jock in the 1st half when Taylor broke a NU record.  But in the 2nd half when Taylor threw a pick that should have sealed the deal for A&M, he sounded as if he was going stop calling the play mid sentence.  I seriously thought he was just going to stop talking...I turned it off after that, thinking NU was toast...friggin a&m screws us again
