ESPN Projections.  One of them has us in the Holiday bowl.  I think we might need help from some other teams, but this would be a big step up IMO.

There's also an outside shot at El Paso.  I doubt it, but its possible.  But only if the Gator doesn't go B12.

I may not record the game if that's true.  Replays ad nauseum.

Yeah, the Holiday Bowl is a reach.

I do think a UT win over aTm would drop them.  3 losses in a row and a coach who is perpetually on the hot seat.

The team that probably gets the nod over is is MU.  Head to head, same record in the league, and they'll have one more win if they win their last 2.  Could leave us rooting for the Hawks after thanksgiving.

My best guess right now:
Fiesta - UT
Cotton - OU
Holiday - NU
Alamo - MU
Sun - KSU
Insight - aTm
Independence - OSU
Texas - Tech

I suppose the Sun and Insight could easily switch there with the Sun sticking with the local school and Insight extremely happy to have us.

Where would you rank El Paso on that continuum?   I think their marketing slogan is still "It ain't Mexico, but you can see it from here....", isn't it?

I took a closer look at the guy who is predicting us to the Holiday.  He is also projecting that NU will go to the Gator.  This would move the Holiday down to the 4th pick.  In that scenario I could see us moving up to the Holiday since I think the Alamo is possible if we win out and Texas beats ATM

If MU wins there last 2, it will be tough for the Alamo to pick us over them.  They'll have head to head and a better overall record.  I don't believe the Gator picks a Big 12 team this year.

I think they can if they want to.

Yeah, I haven't been able to tell whether or not they pick this year or not.  With Notre Dame likely in the BCS, the Gator essentually has the choice of Big East #2 (likely Louisville or Rutgers) or Big 12 #4 (likely NU or MU).

Other than meaning I can't go, I like Holiday.  It should be renamed the Wildcat Victory Bowl.

True, and with the last two being instant classics as well.

I think it was 2000. I seem to remember watching that in downtown Dallas before the Cotton Bowl.

Thank God, KSU too good for Independence Bowl. :woohoo:

"Kansas State's win likely moves the Wildcats past the I-Bowl's reach."
