Lame, lame, and more lame.

Stoops has more talent in his second team than we do on our whole team.  Him "losing" his QB was his OWN DAMN FAULT for not keeping tabs on the guy.  Violations anyone?  Yeah, that should earn COY.

Oh, but he's been able to meet expectations even with an injury to AD and the loss of his QB!

You mean the preseason expectations of OU beating Texas and winning the Big XII?  Except for..Not.  And no excuses - Stoops is doing this with a SENIOR qb that has FORMER BIG XII PLAYING EXPERIENCE.  And AD getting hurt doesn't really mean @#%$ when they have a good backup and it's their fault for him getting hurt anyways.  (Stoops running him into the ground, and AD doing an endzone dive....right onto his collarbone.)  Did I mention AD was still playing when they got their two losses to Texas and UO?  But somehow all this gets him COY for being second in the south with a senior QB and a backup running back better than any on our team coming in when the year is half over?

Brilliant.

Prince has taken K-state from a team that couldn't score a single offensive point against D-2 ILLINOIS STATE to a team that just beat texas.  We were unanymous pick for last in the Big XII, and we were expected to win 2 games - 3 at the very most.  We are currently sitting at 2nd in the north, and are 7-4 despite starting a FRESHMAN QB with ROOKIE coaches and using talent from a team that finished with 4 and 5 wins the last two years and last in the north!

Seriously.  I don't get it.   :banghead:

You can't be racist and like basketball.
If Prince loses Saturday and OU backs into win the south, I wouldn't have a problem with Stoops getting COY.

If we beat ku, Prince should be a lock.

I wouldn't think anyone would really be surprised.  We all know that Coach deserves it; just as much as everyone knows stoops has the spotlight from the media on his side.  People are going to look at results.  We still lost to baylor and 4 losses is still 4 losses regardless of how big the UT game was.  I think Prince should be a lock... But I also thought that "A Beautiful Mind" was a terrible movie, yet it was still nominated for best picture... Why?  Paying dues.  The media feels they owe OU something because they're OU.  They're the cream, we're crap at the bottom.  We may always have to deal with that.   Who cares... It makes smacking around arrogant UT teams much more satisfying.

I don't get it either.

Prince has done more for our team than Stoops possibly could have for his.

He could have taken a vacation for 3-4 months and they would have gone at least 9-3.

I think Prince deserves it, but Stoops is worthy. Seems to me that people thought they'd take quite a hit when they lost Bomar and the offensive lineman. Then to lose Peterson and not lose a beat is impressive. The guy's a good coach. I guess what would keep him from getting it is that it's been established that he's a good coach. Finishing 8-4 for KSU would be a complete surprise to everybody and like Rusty said, Prince should be a lock. It will be close though. I can see OU losing at OSU so that might help.
