You can't be racist and like basketball.
I don't think he needs to.  He could win with these players.

i think i indicated on the other board that you might have exposed yourself to mind-altering drugs.  your list was wac.

putting aside the question of who, and just responding to the general question of is it possible: i'm not sure.  the new apr guidelines certainly change the game a bit from tim floyd's isu model of recruiting 20 guys and seeing which ones stick.  i think one of wooldridge's serious mistakes was in not taking his lumps with asbury players the first 2 years, but instead running some off to bring in new guys that were only marginally better - and causing himself all sorts of 5/8 pain in doing so.  i would hate to see our next coach make the same mistake with respect to the apr regs - but i'm not familiar enough with them to know if there is enough wiggle room to create an extra scholarship or 2 this spring if the coach desires.

If you cut down on mistakes and turnovers you might be able to win a few more games. don't know if it's enough to go to the Ncaa.

This team needs a center but also a true PG. That's one more ship than what we have.

Someone rumored Darren Kent might transfer ?

Watchout for the transfer news.

That's a great point - I haven't heard that idea floated out there much.  Kenyatta Dix definitely showed flashes of potential - definitely more than Richie Terry (who was eventually run off by Jim, as well, (I think)).  Donnie Wallace was bad.  Q was definitely underutilized,

yeah.  not that any of those guys were really any good, but who cares?  everyone knew ksu would suck in years 1 and 2 anyways.  keep them around, don't get into a juco revolving door (both using jucos and running off the asbury players cut into the 5/8 limits and kept him from filling his team for 5 years - and made recruiting hs players a bit harder since he couldn't use the old - "you can start here from day 1" pitch).  from day 1 target hs sophs and juniors - and then maybe ksu gets a decent class in years 2 and 3 instead of not until year 4.

it could have made all the difference.  or then again, maybe not.

at this point it really doesn't matter.  just like the weiser vs wooldridge blame game.  water under the bridge.

i do agree with you, a new coach can win with the players on the roster now.  and better do so.  no more 6 year plans.

Our underclassman &@#%NG SUCK
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

trips - which underclassmen in particular suck?  i would argue that apart from hoskins and stewart we really haven't seen enough of any of them to know if they can play at this level or not.

but regardless of that.  ksu will have about 6 jillion seniors next year.  whether the underclassmen suck or not is really not relevant to whether ksu can win in '06-'07.

Well, he can win with the upperclassmen.  I guess sys kind of said that.

I agree that there isn't much but Hoskins for the freshmen-sophomores.

Hoskins does nothing for me.  No ball-handling skills at all, forces up terrible shots, and doesn't play defense.  And the most important thing, he is way too short to play the post in the Big XII.  That is not really his fault though.  We recruited him to play the post.

If he doesn't develop a 10 to 15 foot jumper and improve his ballhandling, we are in trouble for the next few years with him.  Too bad we have to resort to taking transfers from the Central Michigans of the world.
