How will the conference basketball tournament work?

I'm pretty sure that the teams would be seeded 1-10 based upon conference record as is done today (except seeded 1-12). 

1 through 6 get first round byes.  8 plays 9 and winner plays 1.  7 plays 10 and winner plays 2.  Should be the same as with 12 teams from here...

More and more I am thinking I really won't miss Nebraska in this conference.  I am just trying to figure how the Big 10, which holds itself up to such a high academic standard, allowed in a school to which the joke is the N on their helmet stands for knowledge to join their vaunted conference.

Hopefully they just run it as an 8 team tourney and leave the bottom two at home since everyone will play.  Or make first round games on site....10 plays at 7 and 9 plays at 8 for the 7 and 8 slots respectively.
