im so f*cking disgusted by this whole thing i don't even care anymore.  now it really is the big TEXAS.  i was actually looking forward to the MWC.  its only a matter of time before they pull this crap again. 

its all a bunch of bullsh*t and although ncaa football is my favorite sport and i LOVE making money gambling on it, i think im gonna give it up this season.  i don't plan on watching a single game this season as of right now.  maybe i should just boycott watching the big 12 out of principle. 

sorry for the rant, but this whole thing has left a bitter, bitter taste in my mouth.

I agree with you with respect to the digusted part and the MWC.  The MWC does seem to fit our culture better. 

I think I'm most disgusted with all the play for power and especially $$$$.

exactly cyclist.  the ncaa better put in some sort of procedure from preventing sh*t like this from happening in the future.  if the megaconference thing comes to fruition, it will be the end of college athletics as we know it.  it'll be a minor league for the nfl.

Keeping the 10 schools in the Big 12 will allow the conference to keep its BCS automatic berth and its NCAA basketball tournament automatic berth. The Big 12 won't be allowed to hold a football championship game unless it adds two more members or works to change the rules, which currently require 12 teams to have a title game.

A Kansas source said that, as a 10-team league, the Big 12 would be more profitable and would be one of the top basketball conferences in the country. The source said the remaining Big 12 schools will play a true round-robin 18-game schedule, much like the Pac-10 does in its current form.

The 10-team Big 12 conference will also play nine conference football games.

suck it nebraska and colorado.  and i like the whole, playing every team in the league twice now.

football kinda disappointed with out a championship game. less chance of our cats ever winning.

i'll trade a championship game for playing everyone in the conference once a season.  just happy to be alive.  also, been working all day so this is all news to me in the last hour...are we likely going to add two teams or not?

yeah, the only comfort i can gather from all this is the pac 10 looks ridiculous by scraping the bottom of the barrel to get the second worst big 12 school.
