HuskerOne, you are absolutely right. Nebraska is doing what's best for #1. When the conference is about to fall apart, it's much better to secure a spot and get out first, lest ye be left behind. Hell, we can't blame colorado either, their athletic department is in the crapter and if they don't know whats going to happen to the big12, of course they're going to jump to a safer ship given the opportunity.
Sure, the root of it all is Texas and something would have happened eventually, but this particular fiasco was set in motion by mizzou - not to say it couldn't have easily been someone else given slightly different circumstances.
The real reason for our frustration is that we aren't in any position to jump ship. THats on us. Maybe if we hadn't sucked the last 6 years, maybe if we hadn't hired prince, maybe if we weren't splitting a small population state with another major university - whatever. The fact is, K-State hasn't done anything to be able to stand on its own - hence being at the mercy of Texas.
