Well if Snyder thinks he the best candidate I'm behind him.  He's been in our program 4 years now, and his second with Snyder.  Let's see how he does before we throw him under the bus.  With our rb situation and some good talent and speed at the wr our offense could be pretty tough.  Our qb needs to limit mistakes and hand the ball of to DT!!  Bring on the Cats! :combofan:

we could have all the talent and speed in the world at wr, but if we can't get them the ball it doesn't help  :frown:

1. The job is up for grabs
2. Carson is stronger and faster this year
3. We have real Big 12 WR to throw to instead of one 5-7 140 pounder
4. Handing the ball to DT 33% of the time and throwing short passes 33% of the time means whoever the QB is, he needs to be efficent not great
5. We will be much better in 2010 no matter who the QB is

Pretty sure everybody said Coffman was better last year.  The dude just doesn't have any talent.  It's like Snyder saying hey I'm playing Coffman like Frank Martin played Colon.  Gurantee we could have 3 more wins and 3 less losses if Colon doesn't play.  Lets see how it works with Coffman.

I for one am looking forward to a new, roided up Carson, much like Kerry Meier and his transformation from gangly freshman to borderlline NFL'er...

Hey, here's an idea. How about waiting for the season actually begins or even May 1st before you hop off the band wagon.

I would say Carson threw me off the bandwagon, but we all know that would be a lie.

Oh he threw you off alright, but you probably short-hopped at the back of the wagon first.

Not sure how anyone could get excited about Coffman. He didn't show any glimmer of hope last season. He showed he couldn't make the throws. He showed he was pretty uncoordinated when trying to run the ball. Not once do I remember thinking, 'wow, what a great play...he might have some potential'. Not trying to be too negative here, but Carson Coffman can only take us so far as the quarterback of the football team. What happens when the opposing defense shuts our run game down?

My inside source told me that we didn't see our starting QB in the spring game because Snyder didn't want UCLA to have any tape on him. He also said we didn't see any of our offense but that is expected under Snyder. Collin Klein your starting QB in 2010.
