Realistic goal: NCAA Tournament. Forget about Washburn. Nobody will remember that game in five months.

But what about? Players already in Huggins’ doghouse, like Lance Harris.

Anybody know what Harris did?

Got into an argument with Blake Young at halftime during the Washburn game.

If we finish 5th in the conference then one of two things have happened:
1) The Big XII doesn't suck as bad as everyone is saying it does this year.
2) The players have taken a step backwards learning Huggins' system.

I don't think Huggins' system is all that hard to pick up, they've just got to be willing to put for the work effort involved.  The guys are disciplined, we'll see though if they get after it.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

3) A legit PG won't step forward and 4) we don't get consistent shooters.  I'll see more after watching a few games, but Young developing into a playmaker is a key for this team.  I love what we have from Hoskins, Martin, and eventually Walker and that we should be better (but inexperienced) in the post, but I'm still unsure about the PG position and our ability to shoot.  If we can get Young to be a playmaker and Stewart/Maybank to be steady off the bench, we'll be much better; then Harris, Young, and Martin consistent 3 point threats, we may move up to 3rd.  I think 5th is pretty safe right now until both questions are answered.

Who was our legit PG last year?

Didn't really have one, but honestly Taybron played pretty well down the stretch.  After seeing Young today, he can be what we need, but we're going to have to put up with a few mistakes from him.  However, he's a playmaker on both ends of the floor and could be a very solid Big 12 PG by the time he's few.  Reminds me a bit of Anthony Beane, though not quite the ballhandler.
