Read it again, did I say I don't want us to get a 2 seed? The team looked bad, if you can't agree with that then you need to take your blinders off. And to question my kstatriatism because, I don't believe a 2 seed belongs to a team that loses to one of the last place teams in their league. They have got to earn that 2 seed again, I think they will do that come the Big XII tourny as I think Frank will have them prepared after this nasty loss.
Yea, the team looked bad, but they looked bad because Pullen and Clemente couldn't make a shot but kept shooting. Those 2 have won many games for us this year almost single handedly so what exactly did Frank do different in preparing for this game that made the team "piss down their legs"? KSU came out and played their style of basketball, just couldn't hit shots. Even with ISU being fairly hot from the field they were still held to 74 points in regulation which is only 4 more than teams are averaging against us in Big XII play. If Pullen or Clemente each make 1 more of their combined 38 shots we win this game and move on to the tournament. We don't want them to stop shooting, thats KSU basketball, we just need them to make their shots.
As far as KSU not deserving a number 2 seed because we lost to ISU, as 1albatross mentioned, Duke lost to NC St. (11th in ACC), plus Kentucky lost to S. Carolina (9th in SEC), Ohio St. lost to Michigan (8th in Big 10), Purdue to Northwestern (7th in Big 10). So do those teams "deserve" the 2 more so than us? I know the selection committee looks somewhat at how you finish the season, but the fact of the matter is KSU is a 6 loss team that finished 2nd in arguably the best conference in the country. To say that KSU doesn't deserve a 2 seed and is borderline 3 seed based on 1 game is ridiculous. Do I know for a fact KSU will get a 2 seed? No, they might not, the committee can be unpredictable, but if KSU beats OSU (or OU) in the tournament KSU may very well be back in the #1 seed discussion depending on how other conference tournaments go. I also doubt anyone will even remember this game if KSU wins that game and will go back to predicting a E8/F4 run in the NCAA.
