Don't be scared...embrace the greatness for god's sake.  There is no downside to this game.

With a win, we can:

- put ourselves in position to tie for the Big 12 regular season title (we have not won a regular season conference championship since the 70s).

- with the luck of the draw, be the #1 seed at the Phillips 66

- potentially be a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament

- break uk's 50-something game home winning streak

- destroy Sherron Collins' senior night

With a loss:

- we force ourselves to beat ISU at home on Saturday to hold #2 seed in Big 12

- we keep our #2 NCAA seed (maybe just not top #2)

- we fall a couple of spots in the rankings

Let's remember here folks, we are no longer playing for one game or one win, we have put ourselves in a favorable position to play for the whole fracking enchilada.  A win or a loss on Wednesday does not make or break this season.  We get three weekends in March to make or break this season.

Well said CatMission!!!  Either way it's been a heck of a year.  No doubt it will be a close one, and after uk's loss on Saturday you can be sure we'll get a better team.  Looking forward to the game!! :bballonlyfan:

Well said guys.  THE PRESSURE IS ON ku!  We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  I'm less nervous about this game than a lot others we had in front of us this year.  The Cats just need to go in play good d, hit the boards, and see how the chips fall.  I think we will go down the stretch in this game with a chance to win.  They been there before and I think they get it done this time!  GO CATS!  :steadymobbin':

'Cats are due for a crazy-good game, and think it will come in Lawrence.  The only question is whether ku will play a crazy-good game as well.  I think K-State has its head screwed on better than ku, but that doesn't mean we'll win in Lawrence Wednesday.

KSUfans.com will become the #1 Kstate sports BBS!
I have to admit my hopes are running high, I know the odds are against this team but, I see a good chance KSU pulls it out. It's just not that likely
"I don't know if I will be able to knock out as many teeth as big Lu, but I hope to pick up on the scoring and rebounding aspects." Wally Judge talking about being a biig of the future for KSU!

I agree. ku is the one under pressure. KSU has turned out to be a very good road team. ku should be favored but I must admit I do like our chances. Especially if KSU gets the lead in the second half. Let see if the Cats can make the chicken hawks squirm and end their home winining streak.

Can somebody post a "I have a bad feeling about this game" thread? That seems to be our good luck charm

one things for sure, we're gonna know who the better team is when its done.  with ku losing in stoolwater and k-state pissed about the last matchup with ku, nobody will hold back and we can see how our favorite team stacks up against a #1 seed and one of the favorites to win a natl champ.
