I haven't really seen a hockey game since the NHL lockout but I was impressed with the flow of the game. In the NHL that I remember there was a bunch of starting and stopping and the games took like 3 hours. It seems like the Olympic hockey games take about 2. It seems like if they want to make the NHL "in" again they should do it like the Olympics do it and get a team in KC.

Switzerland just beat Belarus to advance and will play the U.S. tomorrow. I got to see my first hockey shootout. It was ok. I would have liked it if it would have gone further than 2 out of 3 though.

Unfortunately the better team loses once in awhile.

Canadians got the gold, USA got the better team.

Lets be good sports. They won because they were the better team. They were supposed to win. The fact that we medaled is a MINOR miracle. We wanted to win they HAD to win. I just hope this does great things for hockey in the United States because it really is a great game.

Stating the obvious is now being a bad sport?   The best they could do is split the series on home ice?

7-6 dude, USA is the better hockey team.

Based on what I saw I really wouldn't say either team stood out as being the better team. The game being decided in OT was the way a tournament this good deserved to end.

The one thing that I think every one can agree on is that the USA has reestablished itself as one of the hockey elite. And I agree catsfan, hopefully it helps spark even more interest in hockey in this country.

Ovechkin has to be by far the best player ever since Wayne Gretzky.
