Released 04/20/2010 by Kansas State University
WICHITA, Kan. - Ryan Moore's two-out single capped a three-run rally in the eighth inning as No. 16 Kansas State came back to defeat Wichita State, 7-4, Tuesday night in front of 7,217 fans, the largest regular-season crowd in Eck Stadium history.
With its fifth-straight win over the Shockers, Kansas State continued its school-record start as the Cats improved to 27-8 on the season. The win was also the fourth in a row against the Shockers on their home field, the most in K-State history. Coupled with an 8-3 victory earlier this season in Manhattan, the win sealed the Cats' second-straight season sweep over WSU, the first time since the 1952 and 1953 seasons.
