In many ways they are far more mortal than the juggernaut last year but  :crybaby:  they still have so many difference makers that it isn't fair.

a few glaring differences in conference only stats...

Rushing yards per game and yards per carry
2005: 265.8 and 5.7
2006: 166.3 and 4.3 (KSU = 142.2 and 4.4)


Pass Defense
2005: 169.1 ypg and 50.2%
2006: 295.8 ypg and 56.5%

Total Defense and ypp
2005: 308.9 and 4.4 ypp
2006: 344 and 5.6 ypp

3rd-down conversions
2005: 50.9
2006: 42.7

Opponent 3rd-down conversions
2005: 29.0
2006: 36.6
