Seems like reasonable expectations.  Hopefully Beasley and Walker stay for 2 full years.

It also sounds like Mayo's HS coach thinks Mayo is headed to college.

"When we were down there - me, Beasley, Dominique - we knew there would be pressure but we knew we could win," Pullen said Wednesday.

If Mayo was going to sign w/ us I think he would have done it yesterday.
What does he have to gain by waiting until the Spring signing period? He can basically go anywhere he wants to go now, his list of schools interested in him isn't going to grow.  He knows whereHuggs, Bill and Beasley are.  He knows we still need a PG.

The only thing I can think that would have held him back would be pub.  Maybe he didn't want to share the signing day limelight with the rest of the world?  I don't see really what that gains him though, he's made his name and he'll be front page no matter when or where he signs.

I think he's got other plans, I don't see him going to college.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Another possibility is that he thinks he may have other plans now and then decides later that he wants to go to college.  Or he may not have any idea about what he wants to do and is simply keeping his options open.

I can't see how doing anything other than going to (any) college isn't an extremely risky thing for him to do.  He could really hurt his draft position if an alternative plan didn't go well.  LeBron probably could have been more of a trailblazer had he been in the same situation.  Mayo isn't nearly as big of a star.  Or nearly as good.

Maybe Mayo wants to take all those recruiting trips over those cold winter months that damn near any program would be gladly willing to offer.  You know, it's like free R & R.  I know for a fact that there are a couple programs in Hawaii, and there is one in Miami.  And San Diego is very nice and warm too.  Is there a Div 1 program in Cancun?

Patrick Patterson and O.J. Mayo both said they would sign in April.
