Quote from: Rick "I suck at coaching and do things the easy way" Barnes

you just have to feel good for Frank Martin. I think he is a guy that has had to do it the hard way. I don’t want to say anything to take away from them (K-State) but we are a good basketball team.

And we kicked your "good basketball team"'s ass

Quote from: Damion James
On if this was the most physical team Texas has played…

“No it wasn’t. We played games against North Carolina and Michigan State. Those guys are physical as well. I don’t think this team was more physical than any other teams.”
:curse:

Quote from: Damion James
“I think that by being Texas you have a big target on your back, no matter if you are No. 1 or No. 10. So I guess they came out and played hard
with your mom  :woot:
“Nobody plays harder than Kansas State.  Bilas said that to me in person,” Martin said. Now, does that mean that I’m happy every day?  No, because it’s our job to continue to get those guys to continue to grow.”

UNC is not a physical team imo.

James, for the record, you can't play off the butt&@#%ing you just received. That. Just. Happened.

Man, I hope we meet these losers in KC.  This time Clem and Pullen go off from behind the arc and we beat them by 20.

really? we always struggle to score vs barnes/ut.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Yeah.

Plus it would be in the semi's or champ game.

I lost a lot of respect for Damion James last night.  Seems like he has an excuse for everything and absolutely refuses to give K-State credit for outplaying them in every aspect of the game.  NBA scouts will frown upon selfish assholes.  Even Kobe and Lebron admit when they played like crap and were outplayed on the court.

Also, I think James hurt the Longhorns more than helped last night.  Some of his shots were completely rAtarded.  All that the ut fans and announcers were talking about before the game is how James was going to make this a "statement" game for the NBA.  stellar statement right?

Just Damion's way of subtley dissing the opponent that just punked his team...

Are you kidding me? Cutis Kelly and Jamar Samuels were monsters last night! If we can get that kind of production out of them on a regular basis, there will be no stopping us. Rodney McGruder and Martavious Irving really stepped up, too, when we needed them. That was simply a great effort on everyone’s part. Jake was ice cold and Denis tweaked his ankle, but the rest of the team picked it up and carried the freight. That’s the sign of a great team – no matter what happens, you just find a way to win. Defense and rebounding saved a poor offensive night.

We shot a better percentage than the shorthorns; we had more offensive AND defensive rebounds; fewer fouls; and, more assists. Even Jake, though he was ice cold, drew some key fouls and hit some key free-throws.

I’m so happy for those kids… ! I just hope they learned something from it. No matter how bad things get, if you just keeping working it hard, it’ll ultimately pay off. Great teams can have an off night and still find a way to win. I’m not saying we’re a great team, yet. But I think we’re on the right road… headed in the right direction! Great win ‘Cats! :ksu:

Now, get a taste in your mouths for some Cowboy blood! :chainsaw:

I couldn’t figure out why Barnes went away from driving it right at clemente.  I didn’t think we made any adjustments (except that clemente got hurt and irving had to come in for a bit).    Texas just seemed hell bent on getting it into the post from the perimeter, when their most successful offense was dribble drive and dish.

This is what every team should do against KSU.  It's far more effective than any set play.

Yep.  He’s gotten better, but still sucks at defense.  He’s tough to hide defensively because he, jake, and irving are so small.  can't really do too much with that size defensively.

The way we pressure, guards are going to get beat no matter how good they can defend individually.  Its really up to help defense and bigs not having to leave their man in the paint.  And as was said, we give it up for a bit, then adjust and teams stop doing it.  It was pretty much the same in the aTm game.

James is such a bitch, he won't admit that he either he solely lost the game going 3- 12(which is ridiculous) or that K-State is tougher than the cows.

If Clems and Pulls both go off last night, we win by 30, not 20. All academic at this point of course. But still fun to "know" deep down.
