    The very best.
only in kenpom can you beat savannah state by 60 and move up twenty spots, and beat the #1 team in the country and not move at all.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

not as concerned about where we rank as the defensive ranking.  It has gone from 36 to 20 in just a few weeks.  I'd like to see that ranking get as close to #10 as possible since it's the biggest predictor of success going deep into the NCAA tourney.

That didn't feel like an 81 possession game.  Amazing to have our lowest offensive efficiency of the year and beat the #1 team in the country.

And #3 in the RPI now.

Pretty sure we were #9 before the game.

Relooking kenpom's numbers; is this the fastest pace grinder you've ever seen?  Unbelievable that it got to 80+ possessions and neither team got into the 80s.

yep, moved up one spot.

incredible defensive numbers.  helped out by ut missing fts and layups in the 2nd half, but kstate defended really, really well the first 18 minutes of the game (winning time).
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

My mystical theory is UT was missing layups because they were afraid of getting pounded by someone.

Aside from Martin's token "give the opponent a wide-open 3 because we go zone out of a timeout" possession, defense was damn near perfect in the first half.

I think its a legit point.  After the 4th or 5th time of us swatting someone's shot inside the paint, that has to get into your head.

And good point on the zone.  After that one though, we did a heck of a job finding shooters.   I like the Jam-Sam 3/4 court and drop 1-3-1/3-2 look.
