Rumor is that several of USC's commits are interested in us, but are waiting to find out if they can visit due to us having issues with scholarship counts.

Jeez.  He's leaving a beautiful, elite college campus in sunny southern Cal and one of the greatest dynasties ever in college football (which he basically brought back to greatness, IIRC) for a city that's cloudy 250 days a year (or whatever) and a win-or-get-fired job?  Apparently he doesn't realize how great his job was.  Go fulfill your ambitions (or whatever), Pete, you crazy bastard.

Well, it's not like he doesn't know what he's getting himself into.

Maybe you're right. NCAA probably told Pete, "Leave, and we'll slap USC on the wrist.  Stay, and we'll slap you on the wrist really hard."

its a win-win for Carroll.  Gets out of the USC trouble, try the NFL for a few years and if he fails in the NFL, he can come back to college and get any job he wants.

Oregon State's Mike Riley and Washington's Steve Sarkisian are obvious candidates but I'm also hearing Jack Del Rio of the Jacksonville Jags and Jeff Fisher of the Tennessee Titans. Fisher would surprise me.

Love how the media loves to claim Carroll did so terrible in the NFL his first time around...dude had a winning record over 4 seasons, more than 1 playoff appearance.

Is there any chance that Seattle's first-round draft pick WON'T be an SC player?

Would like to see USC fail, but that hire would be just too terrific and fun to watch.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

My dream= Carroll takes the Seahawks job, gets fired after two years, Snyds re-retires, we land Carroll. But again, it's only a dream.
