they don't import the rum, I finally got an email from Bundaberg telling me as much.  where'd you find the GB, I'd like to try it?

I dunno if there's one in the real KC streets, but I bought mine in Lawrence.  They have a good diet version too (my job requires me to stay pretty cut so it's a lot of diet stuff for me).

I mentioned before, but Cruzan has a great dark rum (very nicely priced too IMHO) called Black Strap (hard to find in MHK had to special order it).


It's a good alt for goslings or meyers.

ya there's a World Market near me but I was informed by the manager that they only sell Reeds, which is complete crap b/c it has no bite.  if you ever find Maine Root Ginger Beer, grab it, it's the best.  the Fentiman's is pretty good too.

Reed's is garbage.  Sioux City makes a dec gb (works in a pinch).

pyrat is damn good (same peeps who do patron i believe), but I like the molasses-yness of black strap.

ya pyrat is marketed by the same folks that market patron.  they actually don't make either the rum or the tequila.

pyrat XO is produced by Anguilla Rum Company; made in Anguilla.  Goslings is made by Goslings in Bermuda of course.
