The Longhorns are 9-1 with their only loss coming to Ohio St. in a game that was 14-7 Ohio St. at halftime. Big wins for the Horns have been over Oklahoma and at Nebraska.

QB Colt McCoy is #1 in the Big XII in QB rating. His "worst" game was Ohio St. when he only completed 59% of his passes for 154 yards. He threw just one TD pass and was also picked off. He threw 6 of his 12 TD passes in a 63-31 win against Baylor.

RB's Jamaal Charles and Selvin Young have a combined 1,173 yards on 226 carries (5.2 yards/carry). Charles' best game came at Rice when he carried for 109 yards (13.6 yards/carry). He only has 1 rushing TD in Big XII play. Young's best games came vs. Ohio State and Rice when he carried the ball 26 times for 195 (7.5 yards/carry) yards combined. He has 3 rushing TD's in Big XII play.

WR's Limas Sweed and Quan Cosby average 16.9 and 12.9 yards/catch respectively. Sweed has caught 10 of McCoy's 27 TD passes. He had 8 catches for 119 yards at Nebraska and caught two TD passes vs. Baylor. Overall, 8 players have caught TD passes.

On the offensive line, RT Justin Blalock, C Lyle Sendlein and LG Kasey Studdard are all back. McCoy has only been sacked 12 times in the Horns' 10 games.

Defensively, the Horns returned DE's Tim Crowder and Brian Robison (who just happen to be All-Big XII) and S Michael Griffin. DT Frank Okam, LB Robert Killebrew and CB Tarell Brown all returned, as well as LB Rashad Bobino. The DT's are Derek Lokey and Roy Miller. Marcus Griffin is a playmaker at S.

We are getting too banged up to go into Larryville and give it our best effort. Against Texas, we should just roll out the scout team and have them run all the ku plays. Who cares what the score ends up. We'll just let our guys get good and rested and take 2 weeks to prepare for the squawks.  :dancin:

    The very best.
thx for the post 01-02. I don't expect to run the ball at all on Texas, but I hope Prince does try to do so. We don't want Freeman launching it 42+ times and risking injury with those texas d-ends.

Colt Mccoy is frikin good. He is the difference between 9-1 and 7-3 for Texas.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Yes.  A little less bold and daring and more protective and caring of our QB.  Our defense should never attempt to play man at any point during the entire game.  TT put 59 on us last year; I'd like that to remain the most points we've given up since CU put 59 on us in 1989.

Texas will run at will on us. They will dominate both lines. We need to somehow force turnovers, hope for some fantastic special teams play, and give Freeman just enough time to take some shots downfield on what has been a banged up UT secondary this year.

Oh and pray to god the temp is under 40 degrees. Sleet would be nice as well.

My head says UT 34 K-State 13...but if the crowd is going (ala USC 02, OU 00 were deafening) and things fall right...

We are WAY WAY WAY overdue for a little magic at that stadium after what we've gone through the past few years.

There was some magic a few weeks ago when Freeman rallied the team to beat Okie State.
