Mangino couldn't have played had he wanted to.  Sure back when he worked for Snyder he was smaller but when your blood type is Butter there's no way you could play a single down in college or pee-wee football.

Wow, this is the biggest non-story of the week.  It's common knowledge (or at least I thought...) that staying somewhere dark and cool is good for a concussion.

The story is that Leach made James sit in a dark, cool room during practices.  I just explained that being in a dark, cool area is actually good for recovery for a concussion.

No matter which way Mangino cuts his cake, both men aren't fit to be a coach anywhere. The two of them should join forces and coach Pee-wee football and make refs cry.  That way they can feel even better about themselves.  Hmmm, self esteem issues anyone?

Mangino's deal was one thing. This Leach deal smells all around. James and his father are a couple of whiney little b!tches. The media and all around this have said Leach is guilty from word one. Now, other players, former players, position coaches and everyone is coming out saying James is a prima donna, has an entitlement attitude and never gives 100%. This all draws into question all of the James' motives and why they are going after Leach.  I say lets wait until the chips fall before we start making shortsighted statements to the effect of the above poster...

Leach gave James a scholarship above the objections of his assistants. However, James was considered a bad influence by some teammates.

Eric Morris, who played the same position as James for two seasons, decribed the player like this: "Ever since the day he arrived on the Texas Tech campus you couldn't help but to feel a negative energy from him. He expected people to baby him and that he was going make it solely on the fact that his father was a very successful player."

Current receivers coach Lincoln Riley, James' position coach, claimed the player "undermined my authority on many occasions."

In talking about the incident in question, Riley revealed that said the player was disciplined two practices prior to his concussion. James felt the punishment was unwarranted. Riley believes that is what lead to the allegations against Leach: "I have no doubt that anger from this led to where we are today with this situation and is his way of trying to "get back" at us coaches."

Former offensive lineman Rylan Reed described how he returned from a serious leg injury and that Leach "was very understanding, always had my best interest in mind at all times, and I will always be appreciative of that."

I just found out this is step 2 of the 10 step program Snyder has implemented to get rid of good coaches in the big XII.  Step 3 sputterd a bit as Urban did not quit and lure Bobby back to Florida.
