wasn't Huggins supposed to be the basketball savior of K-State basketball and take us to the promise land?  Historically have we ever gone to overtime with an NAIA school?

Washburn = Illinois State.  Huggins now has the full attention of his team.

No, the dumbass is the guy that put the cats into the NCAA tournament because of hiring a coach.  Are you that dumbass?

    Overkill. It works.
I have to laugh at the people who are all ready to crucify Huggs & the team for ONE GAME.  Its called patience people; look it up.  This program's been on a downhill slide for 10 years, and Huggs is supposed to have it all shored up by the first EXHIBITION game???

LOL.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Since you're a "self-admitted football guy" I'll help you out:  In basketball the first two games don't count.  In fact since there's a tournament, most of the early regular season games don't actually mean that much.

It's interesting irony:  you're making fun of people who claimed Huggins the K-State basketball savior prior to ever playing a game....after the first exhibition game.

Meh, I hear ya Rusty I just think its funny that there are so many bball fans that believe the hiring of a new coach is instantly going to make the cats a contendor.  We will always be a football school unless someone can figure out a way to bring back Lon Krueger and Mitch Richmond.  Go google it real quick so you know who I'm talk about triple fat.

RN, I'm with you here. The bball result was slightly amusing.

I'll take Walker, Beasley and Mayo. It isn't off the wall to think Huggins could get us into the tourney in our first year. Huggins has been successful at every program he has been to and has been to the NCAAs 14 consecutive times. I guess the experts are also stupid for thinking we will be in the tourney because of the hiring of Huggins. And that is all you can attribute it to because Wooly definitely won't be the one that deserves the credit. Stick to football RN, it was an exhibition game that doesn't mean anything.

BBall fans,

Don't take it too seriously, I'll be the first to admit that I'd love to see Huggy turn it around.  I was just suprised and a little embarassed that the Ichabods got that close.  Now to more important topics:  Does Casa Bonita still have the divers?
