Maybe we can just not hire a replacement and Old Ballz can pocket Vic's money.  Times must be tough when you have 2 million, your son has a cush job, and your gandson is going to school for free and you can't afford to retain your best coach on staff.

Vic moved us from 91st in defense in DI to 40th.  I hope Cosh was a big part of that, otherwise Vic will be sorely missed.

Actually, the Big 12 losing all its offensive weapons last year was probably the biggest part of that.  It got VK a nice raise, though.

and our offense sitting on the ball for 3/4 of the game didn't hurt. I'm officially into the "Vic was over-rated and never that good" phase of this break up.

THIS!  Much harder for opponents to score when their offense isn't on the field.  The defense did look like they were in better position this year and missed fewer tackles, but the TOP helped as much as anything.

LOL. We still sucked at tackling. What's said is that one of our biggest improvements is that we were actually in position to miss more tackles. So, at least we got in the way this year.

I'm fully on board with all the phog breakdowns of the VK hiring. Dude had aaaaall that talent at Clemson and could only put together a top 25 defense against crappy ACC teams? No wonder Dabo chased his loser ass out of town. Thanks for all the five-stars, jerk.

I don't even know who Vick Coenig is. Now Cosh, that's a real shooting star in the coaching world.

    "Nobody f*cks with De Jesus."
Ditto. Total A-hole assistant who got by on available talent at Clemson.  Not sure if anyone else coaching our d-backs could have had similar results.  We sucked so bad under the Prince regime that any extra effort by our PLAYERS could have made the difference this season. If Vic left to go to Illinios for $$$, then FRACK him!  I am so angry to see a son of KSU leave us!!! Why, Vic!? Why Illinios!?! FRACK YOU, Vic!! Dude wasn't even around for the DoD anyways.....you won't be missed, Vic.  Just replaced.

The dude is a football demiurge who can literally mold elite talent from his hands or (if he chooses) spew it forth from his very loins.

I'm betting my money on Snyder telling Vic he had no chance (cause he would suck) of taking over as head coach when he retires.  Vic  :crybaby: and bailed cause OBz hurt his feelings.

This is exactly what I've been hearing. Glad you could substantiate the rumor.

Seems plausible, I hear the hot new name for HCIW is Sean Snyder. Nepotism runs deep in this program...

I think my grandpa killed somebody once, but he never liked to talk about Kent State.

Confirmed. But don't get too relaxed. KSUfans.com has BREAKING NEWS the FIRST TO REPORT that the New England Patriots have asked permission to contact K-State super-DC Chris Cosh.

Looks like Illinois won this time, but Georgia will strike again when they least expect it!

http://www.galesburg.com/news/news_state/x985681971/Kansas-States-Koenning-to-be-named-Illini-defensive-coordinator

Is this guy next?:http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/football/recruiting/player-Destin-Mosley-92192

Doubtful.  I'm confident Mosley didn't choose KSU cause of Vic.  Most of Mosley's other choices were Big 12 or MWC.
