So they were going to fire him but said you could take 3 million and run? What part of this makes since. Lew Perkins loves to throw around money I guess.

Well considering the entire buy out was 6 million and they bought him out for 3 million it tells me that there was dirt on both sides that each wanted to keep silent.

If Lew really had all the goods on MM he would have gotten zip, zero, nada for breach of contract.

I agree but Lew had something on MM or he would have have gotten the full 6.6 million. We will probably never know, but one thing is for certain MM ran a dirty program as is evidenced by the ncaa probabtion.

Yea I said as much, that is why it was split down the middle. ku has ran a dirt athletic department for several decades now, I do not see that changing anytime soon.

I would agree. It doesn't make sense that someone as agressive as Mangino would settle for $3 million with no cause.
