I received a PM awhile back from a really HFBIQ EMAW, likely in response to one of my many, many bitch sessions about us not landing a marquee QB since 1998 (still true, BTW).
I wanted to share it with you, because it was comforting to me then and has grown on me since...the important part is not that it's particularly revolutionary thought, but that it came from someone whose thoughts on this I respect.
Snyder is grinning ear to ear looking at next year's offense.
If he adds a Terry/McDonald type of receiver it will not be stopped next year. We don't need Cam Newton to be the QB either.
Ask yourself this question. If Harper was in the backfield with Thomas this past season how many huge plays would those two have popped as opposed to Gregory being in the backfield?
Klein is a huge asset. While he's not that athlete either Harper or Thomas is he just spent a season learning the wide receiver position and I can guarantee if he's QB he will do no worse as a passer than Gregory. But if you have both Harper and Thomas on the field, not to mention Klein's size and strength, and what should be an even more improved OL he won't need to complete that many passes.
Seriously, this offense will be very difficult to stop next year just with what we have coming back and the addition of Harper and Brodrick Smith.
A Terry/McDonald receiver is only gravy.
So, don't be that "oh no" QB poster. "jesus, man. It's going to be okay".
Kenny Davis might be the Terry/McDonald referred to above, but he's having eligibility problems
http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/football/recruiting/player-Kenny-Davis-103977, so that puts some damper on the prognosis above.
However, add in Hubert coming in as a redshirt freshman and Demarcus Robinson, and you have a freaking fleet of speed guys at RB that could line up all over the place.
I'd LOVE to see us just say frack it, and run the hell out of the ball....especially against the Big 12 North teams we'll face. Take a look at this list below. This is a list of some notable teams this past season, and their run-to-pass ration and total offense rank. There are a lot of teams on that list that had personnel similar to what we'll have next year.

Call me "converted," but I am finally buying in on the idea that offensive philosophy is swinging back around to the run. Snyder talked at LENGTH about how he believed the triple option (and other option based attacks) would come back when he was interviewed prior to the season, and even when he was sitting around watching games during his sabbatical. Doodz, we have the perfect fracking personnel to be a damn good running team. Sure, we need to keep recruiting OL at a high level (we have the best one in KS locked up for next year already) and FB (you "grow" these, not recruit them, IMO), but we rock at RB recruiting....always have.
I guess what I am saying is

Let's go play some D (

TP is right and VK wasn't a messiah) and fracking run the ball, bitches.
