Gill doesn't scare me at all as a coach, but I do think the guy will be a pretty solid recruiter given his ties to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
I think it's an outstanding hire.  Turner Gill will probably have some growing pains his first few years, but he will be competitive in a very short period of time.  But most importantly, he will be an outstanding representative for uk and will help eliminate what has become a toxic climate within that program.

You're ruining one of the best threads that BMW has ever started.

I apologize for ruining the thread.  But got to admit to being pretty conflicted with this hire.  Turner Gill is an inspirational person and am thrilled for him.  Unlike MM, he's not the definition of a garbage human being.  He's going to be an excellent recruiter...immediately and I'm glad that it's going to take some time to get the book on teams in this conference.  I know he'll be a better game day coach than Pinkell, but inferior to Snyder.  Also glad that it will be a dagger in the heart of every Nubb fan that wishes they had a respectable coach.

Yes, his recruiting has been simply amazing.

(Should that have been in itals)?

JFC, Gill hasn't even been introduced yet.  http://kansas.rivals.com/barrier_noentry.asp?ReturnTo=&sid=&script=content.asp&cid=1028096&fid=&tid=&mid=&rid=
