and just about anybody you think would be a home run ... they ain't coming to K-State.

In fact I picture Weiser out there right tellling somebody that  he'll pay them $550K a year and really up that if he does well.

K-State, Jon Wefald and Tim Weiser is not going to knock anyones socks off with this hire ... they're just not.

I think it will be more like 750K, but in the end that's not going to cut it for a "big name".  To get any of the aformentioned coaches, we're talking 6 zeros, and I agree, I have a hard time seeing TW doing that.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Would it really take $1 mil to get Huggins or Majerus?

I doubt it.

I think it would.  I would guess their going rate would be 5 years, 5 mil.

No f'ing way Huggins goes to USF then.  KSU's already diverted every available penny to Leavitt.  Maybe not getting Jim was a blessing in disguise?

Check pm's, btw.

I'm thinking he'll target more along the lines of 400K.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
What a pessimistic thread.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

majerus is definately a million dollar hire.  i think huggins may come in just under that, and be a willing to accept more incentives instead of guaranteed cash.

but, really why should this be an obstacle?  ksu is saving a great deal of money with the prince instead of snyder change, and with both of the aforementioned coaches there is no buyout to deal with, so more money can be put into salary.

if ksu can't come up with 1 million to pay a home-run coach, lets just close the doors on bball and stop stringing the fans along.
