I think I know who will win.   8-)

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

    I'm with Coco.
Colt will win. I would vote Suh. Biggest single person game changer I've seen in a while. Plus he's not the prototypical Hiesman winner.

Just think how good Suh would have been had Pelini not came in and slobbered all over him and stuff.  Under a decent coach, Suh would already have the trophy and would be hitting cars left and right in Lincoln.

I vote Gerhart.

Suh was the winner for anyone who follows the guidelines in casting their vote.
He won't win: http://stiffarmtrophy.com/
He's already won the Outland, Bednarik, and Nagurski awards (becoming iirc the 4th player to ever sweep them) and the impact he had will not soon be forgotten.  In fact, I think it will play out much like Tommie Frazier -- finishing second in the Heisman in 1995 (when he was clearly the best -- Eddie George?  Really?), but having an impact on voters down the road, where they realized that qbs without the gaudiest stats might actually be the best player (Tim Tebow, and (although I didn't think he deserved to win) Eric Crouch).

For fun, here are the stats of 3 of the top defense's starting DLs, compared to Suh:

Alabama Season Totals
98tkl....23.5tfl....9.5sk....20qbh....5pbu....0int....1ff....3bk

Florida Season Totals
112tkl...33tfl.... 14sk....48qbh....5pbu....0int....1ff....0bk

Texas Season Totals
116tkl...25.5tfl....15.5sk....10qbh....7pbu....0int....2ff....0bk

Suh Season Totals
82tkl....23tfl....12sk....24qbh....10pbu....1int....1ff....3bk

Voters are directed to vote for the 'most outstanding player'.  Not a career award the way so many voters make it out to be.  Not the best player on the best team.  Not even the most valuable player to a given team.

Any objective person (like myself, natch) who honestly evaluated the candidates and asked which of them was the most outstanding player could only come to one rational conclusion.

Bo's total meltdown hissy fit on the same night that Bama won will doom Suh.  If Bo and Carl hadn't cried so hard Suh wins but the back on the SEC winning team will take it.

    EMAW!!!
Argue you want. But the HEISMAN trophy deserves to go the most dynami, game-changing player. A leader who can carry his team on his back when they need it the most. CJ Spiller is all of that and more. You can say, oh he ran for 1,100 somethin yds watever... but he's easily one of the most explosive running backs ive seen.. He's powerful when he can be, great vision, can play reciever. Not to metnion the guy is the Best PR/KR in the NCAA ( along with banks). Its said he didnt get invited. But from the 5 who did get voted in, i would choose Gerhart. he's a monster..... SUH is close behind.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
my vote goes to Suh.  he also gets my vote for most likely to kill someone in NYC drunk driving.  it's a tradition for Huskers and he's got a little history already working for him.

best coach in American, Bo "zero tolerance" Pelini
 :drink: :Driving:
When I was a kid growing up in the projects, I used to dream of going into space, of escaping the slums, of killing an Ewok!

    ANGRY AS F*CK
White running back gets my vote, because he was more important to his team than the others.  Texas would still be in the same position without Colt, same for Bama, etc. Without white running back, Stanford wouldn't be even close to as good.

Who the frack follows guidelines?

I did not even know they existed. I'm terrified.

And I vote Gerhart
