To clarify, I love both those identities. Its the ambiguity I despise.
Limestoneoutcropping is one of my faves. Along with Hubris Von Whiskers, ThreeHolePunch (but where the hell's the classic av?), KITNfury and The Manhatter ("has seen the bullets fly").
The ambiguity makes you mysterious (a plus), but with your ridiculous manbrains somehow it adds an authoritative flair. Dunno why.
But good call on not disclosing the actual meaning, thereby destroying your online persona (re:TOS, my old name).
For me:
Hubris = My limitless arrogance.
Von = Played a lot of Descent online long ago. The best players usually had "Von" in their name. I hated them hard. I also wanted to be one of them.
Whiskers = what my face would grow instead of a glorious beard. Also a feature commonly associated with cats.
