    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Quote
To channel my inner Keith Olbermann, NBC, how dare you. How dare you have Bob Costas, who has never uttered a word he wasn’t smugly proud of, do some voiced-over montage and show Danny Hope, Dabo Swinney, and Bill Snyder to suggest that Purdue, Clemson, and Kansas State, respectively, were to blame for the lack of minorities in head coaching jobs. Again, if you really believe that those schools were racist in their hiring practices, then prove it, say it, and don’t suggest it. And Dungy, how dare you not apologize to Kansas State. Now.

Kansas State was the only school that Dungy mentioned by name as he told an anecdote about former defensive coordinator, Raheem Morris, the current Tampa Bay head coach, leaving for the pros because he didn’t think he could get a head coaching job in college. First of all, what?! Second, report the whole story. Dungy, failed to point out that Kansas State sued Morris for leaving early to take an assistant coaching job at Tampa Bay; Kansas State wanted Morris to stay. And third, KANSAS STATE HIRED RON PRINCE. Was Prince fired because he’s an African-American? No, he was fired because he was bad at coaching football, but in the world of this NBC piece, Kansas State is now part of the problem because Bill Snyder, only a legend at the school and the architect of one of the greatest turnarounds in college football history, wanted to come back to try to revive the program. Now, the average NFL fan who watched this piece, and has no idea who Prince is, has no choice to put a mental checkmark next to Kansas State football.

Don't worry, if it was on NBC there's a good chance nobody saw it.

Raheem left college football because he was working for an assclown who was in over his head and because his wife refused to step foot into Kansas.   Also he got offered a pretty sweet gig with the Bucs and it obviously paid off for him.   KSU is so racist we hired Raheem to be DC and paid him 250K when he was 29 and his highest level of experience was assistant DB coach.

Probably has more to do with the blatant stupidity of the piece he was critiquing.

Throw in a Cuban basketball coach with a black wife. We have to make our state look good after the reputation it got from those assclowns down the river

I think my grandpa killed somebody once, but he never liked to talk about Kent State.

Maybe we are racist?   That may be the reason we refuse to have black players on our basketball team.

Hey Tony, Jon Wefald practically invented the Negro leagues, you numbskull.  Guess you conveniently forgot that fact.

Wow this really bothers me.  One of the most ridiculous things I've seen.  I mean how do you not do any kind of research or anything?  Also I guess I didn't realize how pretigeous the KSU DC position was.  But yes definitely makes me angry and I wish the school would get involved and Morris too and set Dungy  :flush: straight.

Exactly, if you don't do any research on the issue don't talk like you are an authority. The other sad aspect - NBC, in their infinite wisdom, probably thought Dungy knew all about these sorts of issues because he is (allegedly) a black guy. So frack you NBC for your racist assumptions and frack you Tony Dungy for your misinformed opinion.

Why aren't people taking every school in the SEC to task, except Miss St.? So, Dan Mullen got the job because he is white and Sly Croom should have been kept? Really what Prince did here was not much better than what Croom did in Starkville.

The bottom line is donors, and Prince lost them. There are racial issues that need dealt with, but blaming the schools that hire black coaches is not productive.

Good one Tony.  The Bucs aren't racist and K-State is.  Well we went 6-6 and Tampa is 1-11.  Sorry, but I'll take the white guy.

I know, they didn't have the whole thing available. That's why the article is quoted as to what was aired.
