If the search goes on much longer ku will get into the dead period for bowl games, then unless they hire a coach that is not presently working like Tuberville or Franchione they might be going into mid January before they hire one. I bet lew's :bootyshake: is starting to pucker about now

When he fired magino I gave ku a 25% of hiring better a coach than they fired, now I give ku LESS than a 10%  of doing so, unless lew pulls Harbaugh out of his a** and I find that very unlikely considering he has a top 20 recruiting class in place and is currently renegotiating a contract with Standford.

One reaps what one sows, and perkins firing a coach like mangino at a school that has zero football tradition has most coaches saying "thanks but no thanks" to a really difficult job that has so little tolerance for losing. I am guessing ku hires someone in the next 3-4 days, and a coach that does not have nearly the resume of the one they just fired for yelling at players and poking them in the chest.

Couldn't happen to a better program. Cheater-u, come here and make 2+ million, but you had better win big because Kavisto & Wittig stole a bunch of $$$ to make our crap facilities better. Also we expect to win the big 12 north (which we have never done) and win a big 12 championship (which we have never done). Win a conference title as well, we haven't done that in 41 years or an outright conference championship since 1930 but we are ku and our $hi* doesn't stink

Perkins said 10-14 days when he canned Mangino.  That puts 10 days at this Sunday.  Things are going just as planned, no majors embarrassments like naming a coach then the coach thrashing the school for naming him.

Final candidates are looking like:

Holtz
Gill
Harbaugh
Fulmer

------ Brewster was a joke.  They are about to fire him at Minn.  Funny that you guys bit at that one.

Perkins has this deal on lockdown.  More than likely it will be one of the 4 I named above.  If not, it will be a name nobody has even talked about.

Either way, I know we will land someone that will start another run of domination over ksu in the near future.

we're honestly the least of your worries. Out of the North the only team i seeing ku having an edge on next year is Colorado.

I guess I should add another name according to the new KC Star article.

Tuberville wants to coach for ku.

Article also states that Harbaugh and Lew have had talks and he is Lew's top choice right now.

and ku is Harbaugh's last choice behind:

Stanford
Mater Dei
Zorba linda
St. Thomas Aquinas
Joining the Coast Guard
Pop warner Palo Alto "Braves"
bumming around and opening a Dunkin Donuts franchise
Not coaching
becoming a cancer survivor
KC Chiefs
cop
Tiger's caddy
AIDS
