OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi coach Houston Nutt says he "appreciates the interest Kansas showed in our staff" but he will not pursue the Jayhawks' coaching vacancy.
Nutt and Ole Miss athletic director Pete Boone issued statements Tuesday after media reports that Nutt was interested in the Kansas job.
Nutt says he's staying put with the Rebels, who he has guided to consecutive Cotton Bowl appearances in his two seasons in Oxford. Kansas coach Mark Mangino resigned last week in the midst of an investigation into his treatment of players.
Nutt is 17-8 in two seasons in Oxford and has guided Ole Miss (8-4) to consecutive eight-win seasons for the first time since 1989-90. The Rebels play No. 21 Oklahoma State in the Jan. 2 Cotton Bowl.

WOW.  He didn't even want to talk.

Posters on kusports are convinced in Harbaugh. The media asked the wrong question, they say, when they asked about his interest in ND.

Of course, these are the same delusional idiots who have filled two pages of a post titled "Is ku a destination job?"

It's only 5 days since Mangino officially departed...and no candidiates have publicly declined the ku job...therefore I see no reason to adjust anything as a fanbase.

this was a hour ago.

pretty convinced they don't even follow their own team

610 sports in KC had an interesting topic today on the morning show.....They had Keegan on and were discussing how ku was just as good of a coaching opportunity as Notre Dame.

I am not joking.

Interesting.  I doubt Harbaugh even feels the need to issue a statement declining interest in ku.  That's kind of too obvious to need to issue a statement on.

Pete,
I heard that too and couldn't believe what I was hearing. The best part was at the end where they said that when harbaugh has to decide between ND and ku, he should keep in mind that ND will PROBABLY pay him more money, but he would have to live in South Bend.  Unbelieveable

Ya, I did a spit take with my coffee on that one as well.   South Bend is an hour train ride from Chicago and has a massive airport that routinely hosts hundreds of private jets from wealthy donors attending games.

The story didn't include the part where Nutt lit a cigar with a $100 bill as he signed a new contract.

ku, used and duped.  Hilarious.

Odds that Harbaugh even knows the ku position is open are about 50-1.

ku is a better job, dude!  You must be catholic!  You seem like a bible thumper.  There is no trophy in the domers trophy case with fresh oranges in it.  We have very good facilities, a very agressive AD and plenty of money to make it appealing.  I had Keegan in my office this morning and gained some knowledge about the subject.  If Harbaugh declines (only because he is waiting for the right NFL job), well just settle for someone like Tommy Tuberville or Gary Patterson.  You guys have blinders on.

Using Dooley's logic, nearly every BCS D1 job is better than Notre Dame.

You guys do have a pretty sweet track around your field, don't think ND can claim that.  And facilities named after felons.  Recruit's parents gotta love that show of ethics from your program.  I do question just how much money you guys have, what with so many of your boosters being in jail and what-have-you.  Where are you guys getting the money that Kivisto and Wettig promised and only delivered a very small percentage of?  Also, just how much money did you guys spend on the lazy boys on that flatbed (another super sweet recruiting tool) in the endzone?  Did you guys have to pay extra to insure that nobody would actually sit in them, or was that just good luck?  Plus, it's a very MMA type of atmosphere in Lawrence right now.  If any of your recruits are wearing Afflication shirts, I would assume they would be natural fits.

I get more factual information in the "water vapor glass cigarette" adds in between segments on 810 than I ever would listening to anything on 610.
