Liberty Hall?  I'm not sure many football coaches really go for art-house films, but maybe they want the option.

Since when is Turner Gill and Hoston Nutt any kind of buzz?

A has been and a never will be?  wow.  buzzzzzzzzz

Gill and Nutt were smokescreens.  The first coach to interview is rarely the one that gets hired.  Your coaching search IQ is an absolute embarrassment.

If you honestly believe Lew Perkins is going to hire Bill Miller as head coach you should go ahead and put a bullet in your brain for the good of humanity.

Not even arguable after the last couple coaching searches by each program.

Come on man....you're better than that.

It's not even up for debate.  Prince was a joke, and Snyder was a desperation hire.  ku has been mentioned with more big name coaches and is generating a lot more buzz.

New banner up in Lawrence:  (2009 CREATED TONS OF BUZZ)

jesus bmw, you reinforce every stereotype i have about ku douchebaggery.

lol  :squawkgoalpost:

maybe the true measure should be how many coaches get extensions during your coaching search.

seriously though, it would be embarrasing if ku doesnt hit a hr with this hire after all the money they've spent pretending like they are big time.

Lew's trying to raise $34 million for a gridiron club, and you mongoloids think he's going to hire Bill Miller as head coach.  Good grief.

Funny how most of the ku fans are actually spending their time with their friends on their board discussing this search.

Meanwhile, BMW is on the KSU board discussing the search.

Not gonna happen, ku isn't good enough or have enough money for this type of thing.  I've noticed alot of coaches taking themselves out of consideration for the head coaching job, one 12 win season doesn't make ku a solid program- it was more like "15 minutes of fame".  Now it's  back to the norm, like 6th in the big 12 north.

K-State was the first D-1 football program to reach 500 losses, and you clowns have the audacity to say ku can't be successful in football.  K-State just needs about 30 straight wins against ku to even the all-time series.

way to twist words bud. We've said you cannot MAINTAIN success at ku. ku has had two Orange bowl seasons. One was in 1968 and one was in 2008 (for the 2007 season.) What type of success have the MAINTAINED between those two Orange bowl seasons, or frankly for that matter, AFTER either of those two season? I honestly have no idea after the 68 season, but I'm sure you could tell me how great ku was from 69-2007 right?

How many uofk alums work at ESPN compared to k-state alums. Probably has quite a bit to do w/ the "buzz".

That's fine, ksu will even the series eventually, but ku doesn't have the money or tradition in football to win championships in basketball and football consistantly- winning in one sport is hard enough PintoJhawk.

Once again, it has been proven that you can win consistently at K-State, and it has never been proven that you can win consistently at ku. Also, I do not understand the logic of Lew still trying to raise $34 million for the Gridiron Club. ku can't even fill up their normal stadium capacity as it is, and there has been little financial support of this plan from the very beginning.

Perhaps he has heard all the excuses about weather keeping "fans" away. Lew will have the first stadium in the country where all the seats are indoors while the game is still played outdoors.

I thought I heard that ku scrapped the gridiron club?   Something like they had only raised a small percentage of what they need and just don't think it's viable.   ku fans got on here and talked smack about building a stadium club (something KSU and most of the big 12 has had for 10 years) and now it's probably not even going to happen.   When ku goes out and hires some crappy coach who generates no excitment in the fan base it will be the end for this pipe dream of a project.

ku is still building a gridiron club.  It won't take any longer to finance than K-State's basketball facility that still hasn't been touched.
